A phone charger doesn’t have to be limited to small electronics. According to the seller, the AlzaPower Ultimate X500 can also handle a laptop with 65W charging, making it a sensible shared adapter for a desk or travel. The black variant on Alza costs 449 CZK with code ALZADNY25. However, what’s important is how many devices you connect to it at once.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: travel with a phone, tablet, or compatible laptop. The GaN adapter weighs 129 g and measures 31 × 93 × 44 mm.
⚠️ Consider: when charging via all ports, the main USB-C only gets 45 W. This is not a suitable setup for a laptop requiring the full 65 W.
💡 The code saves 150 CZK against the current public price of 599 CZK without a code and without membership.

Laptop to USB-C1, other devices share the rest

For a setup with a laptop, phone, and other small electronics, power distribution is crucial. Alza states a total of 63 W when all outputs are occupied: USB-C1 gets 45 W, while the second USB-C and USB-A together share 18 W. So, the phone doesn’t get the full 18 W on the second USB-C just for itself if you’re also using USB-A. The most demanding devices should be connected to the first USB-C.

For phone compatibility, support for Power Delivery 3.0 including PPS is useful. Also included are Quick Charge 3.0 and 2.0, Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge, and Huawei Fast and Super Charge Protocol.

Connecting a phone briefly interrupts other charging

The X500 has another feature you’ll notice during use: when a device is connected or disconnected, it briefly turns off all ports. The Dynamic Power Distribution Reset function then recalculates the available power and distributes it among the connected devices. So, if you add a phone to a charging laptop, the laptop’s power supply will also be interrupted for a moment.

Do you use a shared charger for your laptop and phone?
