Garmin announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025, which significantly exceeded expectations. Total revenue reached $1.81 billion (approximately 38 billion Kč), representing a 20% year-over-year increase. Smartwatches were the main growth driver, with the fitness segment recording an impressive 41% increase in revenue.

New Generation of Forerunner Running Watches

During the past quarter, Garmin introduced several interesting new products. Among the most important are the Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970, which brought advanced training features and personalized training plans from Garmin Coach for running and triathlon. These models target more demanding athletes who are looking for a professional tool to improve their performance and analyze training data.

Elegant Venu X1 with a Record-Breaking Display

Garmin also introduced the Venu X1 with an ultra-thin body and a huge 2-inch display – no Garmin device has ever had such a large screen. The watch combines elegant design with low weight and excellent display readability. Also new to the portfolio is the Index Sleep Monitor – the company’s first smart band focused exclusively on sleep and recovery monitoring, providing a comprehensive insight into the user’s rest quality.

Outdoor Segment Driven by Instinct 3 Tactical

In the outdoor watch segment, which grew by 11% to $490 million, the Instinct 3 Tactical Edition model was particularly noteworthy. It offers a bright AMOLED display, a metal-reinforced bezel, and a built-in LED flashlight. For off-road adventure enthusiasts, Garmin also introduced the Tread 2 navigator with a larger touchscreen and expanded mapping capabilities.

Based on these results, Garmin raised its full-year outlook and expects revenue of around $7.1 billion. This success confirms that interest in quality smartwatches with advanced sports features continues to grow, and Garmin is able to maintain a strong position despite increasing competition from Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch.
