We’ve grown accustomed to seeing leaks about upcoming Pixels continuously for almost a full year before their release in recent years, but the current one stands out in its scope. The Telegram channel Mystic Leaks published a comprehensive overview that is said to cover practically everything essential about the upcoming Google Pixel 11 series – from codenames to display and battery parameters, all the way to new features like Pixel Glow. If the information is confirmed, we have a very precise idea of what Google plans to replace the current tenth-generation series with before the expected August unveiling.

Tensor G6 to end the era of problematic Samsung modems

Probably the most significant change inside the Pixel 11 series will be the new Tensor G6 chipset, codenamed Malibu, which is expected to be Google’s very first processor manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm technology (N2 process). The core configuration reportedly follows a 1+4+2 scheme, combining one powerful ARM C1-Ultra clocked at 4.11 GHz with four C1-Pro cores at 3.38 GHz and a pair of power-efficient C1-Pro cores at 2.65 GHz. Graphics are expected to be handled by the PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 chip, and security will be ensured by the new Titan M3.

An equally important new feature is the modem replacement. Instead of the current Samsung Exynos solutions, which have received repeated criticism for battery life issues in Pixels, the new series should be powered by the MediaTek M90 (MT6986D). In such a case, energy efficiency could improve, potentially leading to less dramatic battery drain.

However, the mention of Project Toscana, an improved face unlock system, is a disappointment. The Mystic Leaks channel states that the new feature is not yet fully ready, and thus, despite earlier leaks, it will not be released this year.

Pixel 11 to get a new camera, but possibly less RAM

According to the leak, the basic Pixel 11 is expected to continue in the form set by its predecessor. It will offer a 6.3″ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2424 pixels, a refresh rate of 60–120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 3,100 nits. The battery should have a capacity of 4,840 mAh (this is the so-called minimum capacity, the marketing value is usually slightly higher). The phone is expected to arrive in four colors – black, green, pink, and purple.

Two things deserve attention. The first is a new main sensor codenamed “chemosh”, which should have a resolution of 50 Mpx. The second, significantly less pleasing, is a variant with only 8 GB of RAM. Google, with the ninth series, transitioned to 16 GB across the entire Pro segment, and for the 10 series, maintained a minimum of 12 GB. If the leak is confirmed, this would be a noticeable downgrade, likely related to the global shortage of memory chips. Google might be doing this to avoid (significantly) increasing the final price of the phone.

Pro models to bet on higher brightness and new cameras

For the pair of Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, there will be no fundamental changes in screen dimensions – they will retain their 6.3″ and 6.8″ diagonals. However, both LTPO OLED panels should improve in brightness, as they are expected to reach up to 2,450 nits in HDR mode and even 3,600 nits at peak. Resolutions remain at 1280×2856 for the smaller model and 1344×2992 for the larger one.

The Pixel 11 Pro should receive a battery with a capacity of 4,707 mAh, while the larger Pro XL will have 5,000 mAh. RAM capacities are expected to be 12 or 16 GB. Both phones will reportedly get a new main sensor (“bastet”) and a new telephoto lens (“barghest”) – specific specifications are not yet publicly known.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold with the lowest battery capacity in the entire series

The foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold (codename Yogi) is expected to combine an internal OLED display with a resolution of 2076×2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 1–120 Hz with an external panel of 1080×2342. The maximum brightness of the internal screen should reach 3,500 nits at peak, and the external one 3,600 nits. The phone is expected to share its main camera with the basic Pixel 11.

Pixel Glow: RGB Diodes Instead of a Thermometer

Perhaps the most interesting visual novelty is expected to be a feature called Pixel Glow. According to the leak, an array of RGB diodes integrated directly into the camera module will appear on the back of all three Pro models (Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold). The principle resembles Nothing’s Glyph Interface, although Google’s implementation is expected to be significantly smaller and less conspicuous. Pixel Glow could serve for visual notifications, indicating Gemini activities, or perhaps alerting to an incoming call. However, this newly acquired embellishment will require a sacrifice in the form of the thermometer, which is expected to disappear from the back of the Pro models.

The launch of the new series is expected in August 2026. If the leak proves accurate, we can anticipate a generation that will significantly advance the processor, resolve the long-standing issue with Samsung modems, and add a distinctive new design element. The question remains whether users will accept compromises in the form of smaller batteries and lower minimum memory.

What do you think about what we’re learning about the Pixel 11 series so far?
