For some time now, Google has been helping users unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters directly within promotional emails. In April, it even enhanced Gmail with a mobile subscription management center, where all subscribed newsletters can be found with the option to easily unsubscribe. Until now, however, this feature only worked in the mobile app, which is now changing, and the “Manage Subscriptions” feature is newly heading to the web interface as well.

On phones, the feature is available directly in the sidebar below the Trash folder, but on the web, the location is slightly different. You can now find the management in the left inbox panel after clicking on “More“, between Spam and Manage Labels.

After clicking on “Manage subscriptions“, you will then get to a clear page with all your newsletters. The portal AndroidAuthority provided a screenshot of the new feature’s location.

From this page, you can see an overview of all subscriptions, view the history of emails from a given sender, or unsubscribe with a single click.

Gmail may not register changes immediately

However, Google warns that unsubscribing from a subscription may not be immediate; some emails may still arrive for a few days after unsubscribing. So, if the subscription is truly bothering you, the best thing is to block the sender directly.

The feature is also being rolled out gradually, so if you don’t see it in Gmail yet, don’t despair; it should be available to everyone soon.
