Go for a run and win a TV. The Xiaomi POP Run race comes to the Czech Republic for the first time, we're running too

That’s why we’re delighted to invite you, together with Xiaomi, to the Xiaomi POP Run race, which will take place for the very first time in the Czech Republic on Saturday, August 29. Prague’s Stromovka park will offer a great opportunity for each of us to do something for our bodies, and at the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds, you can get acquainted with the brand’s complete portfolio of smart products live at the Xiaomi Experience Center. Every runner will receive a smart band worth 599 CZK, and the best racers will share electronics with a total value of 133,000 CZK. Svět Androida will also run, registration is open now. This year for the first time in the Czech Republic, it will be run in Stromovka

Xiaomi has already visited 16 different countries around the world with the POP Run race. The event, organized since 2018, has taken place in Paris, Mexico, Vietnam, and Singapore, for example, and this year it is coming to the Czech Republic for the very first time. 

The environment of Prague’s Stromovka park is also friendly for running races, not only thanks to the natural shade from mature trees but also because runners will accumulate only minimal elevation gain.

Your entry fee will be returned, plus you can take home a TV

Xiaomi POP Run will appeal to both beginner and more experienced runners. The race offers the option to complete either a 5km or a 10km course. Registration, regardless of the chosen distance, costs 699 CZK, but the amount will essentially be returned to you immediately after picking up your race package. In addition to the bib number, the package includes a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active sports band worth 599 CZK, a unique race T-shirt, hydration on the course and at the finish line, and after finishing, a medal and a towel.

Moreover, if you manage to make it among the TOP best runners, you will take home fantastic prizes. A 55” Mini LED TV awaits the winner of the 5km race, while a more valuable 65” model is prepared for the first to finish the 10km race. Other fastest finalists can look forward to advanced wearable electronics – for example, the new smartwatches Xiaomi Watch 5 with Wear OS and excellent battery life, or the open-ear headphones Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro, which are ideal for urban sports. Men and women will be announced separately.

The event is suitable not only for runners – feel free to bring the whole family

Although the event primarily focuses on runners, part or all of the route can, of course, be comfortably walked at a brisk pace. The main goal is to enjoy the event, get some exercise, and overcome your own limits. If you participate in the POP Run yourself, you also don’t have to worry about bringing the whole family. While only persons over 18 years old can register, everyone can enjoy not only the unique atmosphere of cheering but also the complete portfolio of Xiaomi products in the aforementioned Experience Center directly at the nearby Holešovice Exhibition Grounds. 

It will be an excellent opportunity to get acquainted not only with powerful smartphones but also with a wide range of accessories, televisions, and smart home appliances. The showroom will be open from 11:00 AM, well in advance of the start of the first race – the 5km course starts at 2:00 PM.

The most valuable thing, of course, is the experience you’ll gain thanks to your bib number, but right after that, the most appealing part of the package is undoubtedly the smart band for 599 CZK. However, we can assure you that the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active, despite its price, is not just a low-quality piece of plastic, but a practical helper that represents a great entry ticket into the world of wearable electronics.

The band is equipped with a 1.47” color display, which you can customize with various watch faces. A key advantage is the 60Hz refresh rate, ensuring that all animations and transitions between different parts of the interface appear smooth.

The main draw is undoubtedly the features for health and sports activity tracking. In addition to measuring your running performance, the band can thoroughly monitor your sleep and check stress levels.
