Google AI Plus subscribers will lose Gemini Pro models. We know when this will happen

In early October, we reported that Google had cut the free Gemini to a lighter Flash-Lite model and that the changes would also affect the cheapest paid plan. Now it’s clear exactly when. Google AI Plus subscribers will lose access to Pro models on November 13.

Google is already notifying users

The company has started sending out notifications to subscribers, the text of which was published by one user on Reddit, and others confirm the same email. From the mentioned date, the selection of Pro models in the Gemini app and in AI Mode in Search will only be available from the AI Pro plan upwards. AI Plus owners will be left with Flash-Lite and Flash.

Older conversations conducted with the Pro model will not disappear, but you will continue them with a different model. If you purchased AI Plus specifically for Pro, you have less than a month to decide – the subscription can be changed or canceled at any time, according to the email.

What will remain for 220 crowns?

AI Plus in the Czech Republic costs 220 CZK per month. From now on, it will differ from the free Gemini only by the Flash model and double usage limits. Those who don’t want to lose Pro models must opt for the AI Pro plan for 549.99 CZK per month, which is approximately two and a half times more expensive subscription with quadruple limits.

Meanwhile, the difference between the plans is also widening on the other side. This week, Google began making its latest model, Gemini 4 Argon, available in the Gemini app, exclusively to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers. So, while the more expensive plans gain a new, most powerful model, the cheapest one also loses Pro models.

Will you stay with Google AI Plus even without Pro models?
