Have you seen it? The continuation of one of the most successful series was released on Netflix in August, now leading the popularity charts

On August 6th, Netflix finally released the long-awaited second season of the series Wednesday, but with a catch – for now, fans can only enjoy the first four episodes, and we have to wait until September 3rd for the remaining parts. If you haven’t yet had a chance to dive into Wednesday Addams’ new adventures, now is the perfect time. The series currently dominates viewership charts both in the Czech Republic and worldwide.

What is the second season about?

The new season brings a darker and more complex story that leads Wednesday into another supernatural mystery. The main character voluntarily returns to Nevermore Academy – for the first time in her life, she even looks forward to going back to school, thinking she knows it perfectly and will have everything under control. However, reality is completely different.

The worst thing Wednesday can imagine becomes reality – her family invades her school life. Her younger brother Pugsley also arrives at the same school, struggling to control his electrokinesis and desperately trying to make friends. Ironically, he becomes “an outcast among outcasts” and lives in the shadow of his famous sister.

Family Drama at Nevermore

Parents Morticia and Gomez spend significantly more time at school than Wednesday would like. The complicated relationship between Wednesday and her mother takes on a new dimension – they even fence, both literally and figuratively.

A bright spot is the arrival of her grandmother. She is one of the few people, besides Uncle Fester, whom Wednesday is genuinely happy to see and even smiles upon her arrival.

Nothing is as it seems

The creators promise that “nothing in the second season is as it seems”. Wednesday thinks she knows where all the bodies are buried, but once she returns to school, she finds she was mistaken.
