Chinese manufacturer Honor has launched its latest tablet, the MagicPad 3, on the British market, indicating a possible arrival in other European countries, including the Czech Republic. The device boasts a 13.3-inch display and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which, while not the latest Elite version, still offers sufficient performance for demanding applications and games.

Large Display with 165Hz Refresh Rate

The Honor MagicPad 3 features a 13.3″ LCD panel with a resolution of 3200 × 2136 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, ensuring smooth content scrolling and minimal blur during gaming. The panel displays 1.07 billion colors with DCI-P3 color space coverage and achieves a brightness of up to 1,000 nits in HDR mode.

The manufacturer has integrated HONOR Eye Comfort Display technology with several eye protection features. These include hardware blue light reduction, dynamic dimming, and an anti-motion sickness mode. The display also features AI Defocus Display to reduce eye fatigue during long-term use.

Powerful Chipset, Though Not the Latest Elite

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, Qualcomm’s flagship series from last year, is at work. Unfortunately, Honor did not opt for the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite, which can be found, for example, in the OnePlus Pad 3, already sold in our country for CZK 13,490. Despite this, the octa-core chipset offers sufficient performance for multitasking, demanding applications, and high-quality gaming.

The tablet runs on MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15. A configuration with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage is available, providing ample space for applications, media, and documents.

Record-Breaking Battery with Silicon-Carbon Technology

Undoubtedly, the tablet’s greatest asset is its 12,450 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Honor utilizes its proprietary technology, which combines higher energy density with longer lifespan. Together with the HONOR E2 power management chip and an AI power consumption management system, it ensures all-day endurance even with demanding use.

The tablet weighs 595 grams and measures only 5.79 mm in thickness. The aluminum alloy body has a special finish that resists fingerprints and daily wear and tear. The double-R rounded edge design makes it easy to hold.

AI Features for Productivity

The MagicPad 3 brings several AI features to boost productivity. AI Writing Tools help with text summarization, content rephrasing, and error correction. For online meetings, it offers AI Voiceprint Noise Cancellation, which filters out background voices, and an AI Speech to Text function for real-time conversation transcription.

The audio system consists of eight speakers with HONOR Spatial Audio support. The tablet includes a 13Mpx main camera with autofocus, a 2Mpx macro sensor, and a 9Mpx front camera for video calls.

Price and Availability

The Honor MagicPad 3 is sold in the UK for £599.99 (approximately CZK 17,000), but as part of an introductory offer, it is available with a promo code for £499.99 (CZK 14,100). Additionally, customers will receive a free Smart Touch Keyboard and Magic-Pencil 3 stylus, with a total value of several thousand Czech crowns.

The tablet’s launch on the British market suggests a possible expansion into other European countries. Honor has often gradually expanded the availability of its products across Europe in the past, so its arrival in the Czech Republic is not ruled out. However, official confirmation for our market is still pending.
