Honor open earbuds are half price! They entice with noise cancellation and a cleverly designed construction

Have you missed out on open headphones so far and would you finally like to try them? Honor Earbuds Open can now be bought for half price. With code ALZADNY50, their price dropped from 3,399 CZK to 1,700 CZK, and they promise a noise cancellation feature, which is not at all common for headphones of this type. Furthermore, during the design of the construction, designers focused on ensuring that people with glasses could wear them comfortably.

Quick summary:
✅ They make sense if you want headphones for all-day wear that don’t press into the ear canal and let you hear your surroundings.
⚠️ Be aware that ANC in an open design only softens noise, and only SBC and AAC codecs are available.
💡 For 1,700 CZK you get open headphones with ANC, IP54 resistance, and simultaneous connection to two devices.

Half price again, even though they were a bit cheaper in the summer

Before the promotion, the headphones cost 3,399 CZK; with code ALZADNY50, they come out to 1,700 CZK, so the discount is 1,699 CZK. To be clear, this is not a historical low: in July, we wrote about a promotion where they cost 101 CZK less. The difference is rather symbolic, and whoever missed the summer offer now gets a second chance. The promotion applies to the Polar Black version.

What fits into an earbud weighing 7.9 grams?

Each earbud, according to Honor, weighs approximately 7.9 grams. It is held behind the ear by a hook made of nickel-titanium alloy with shape memory, coated in silicone, designed to sit firmly even during sports and, thanks to its thin profile, not interfere with eyeglass frames. Inside, a 16mm dynamic driver with multiple magnets plays, to which the manufacturer adds a metal-plated treble dome and an algorithm for virtual bass.

Honor states battery life at 7 hours on a single charge and 26 hours with the case, measured, however, at half volume and with ANC off. Fifteen minutes in the case should provide two hours of listening. The headphones have IP54 resistance against sweat and dust (the case does not), Bluetooth 5.2, and can connect to two devices simultaneously, so you don’t have to switch between your laptop and phone.

How much noise can open headphones cancel?

The main attraction is hybrid ANC with three microphones, which Honor claims is the first of its kind in open headphones. However, the manufacturer itself admits in a note that the cancellation is weaker than with in-ear plugs and semi-closed earbuds. So, expect more of a dampening of office or restaurant noise rather than silence in the subway. The same microphones, along with a sensor that captures voice vibrations, are designed to clear calls, according to Honor, even in winds up to 6 m/s.

Also interesting is the AI translation in the HONOR AI Space app, available for both Android and iOS. The headphones can interpret a lecture directly into your ears, or you can share a pair with another person, and each will hear the translation into their own language. The manufacturer does not state which languages the feature supports on the product page, so it’s advisable to check if it understands Czech.

When should you probably avoid them?

Owners of phones other than Honor will miss out on spatial audio, which requires a Honor phone with MagicOS 9 or newer. The headphones only offer SBC and AAC codecs, so don’t expect high-resolution music via LDAC. And anyone looking for headphones mainly for airplanes or public transport will likely be disappointed with the open design, even with ANC, because open headphones by their nature do not offer complete isolation from the surroundings.

Who will benefit from the Honor Earbuds Open discount?

These headphones will be especially appreciated by those who want to wear them all day at work or on a walk, wear glasses, and don’t want to be completely cut off from their surroundings. At 1,700 CZK with code ALZADNY50, it’s a decent price for an open model with ANC and dual connection, even though it could have been bought for a hundred less in the summer. On the other hand, those who crave silence on the tram would do better with classic in-ear earbuds.

Do you keep your ears open while listening, or do you want peace from your surroundings?
