Laptops with an OLED display and 32 GB RAM usually start significantly higher than 23,000. The HP OmniBook 5 AI in the Ryzen AI 7 configuration is currently available on Heureka from 22,760 CZK – which is an all-time low since its launch in September last year, when it cost almost 30,000 CZK. It last had a similar price in December, so if you hesitated then, you have a second chance.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you are looking for a laptop for creative work, office, or mobile productivity with an excellent display and long battery life.
⚠️ Consider if you primarily need a laptop for demanding games – the integrated Radeon 860M graphics are not enough for AAA titles in 2K.
💡 For 22,760 CZK you get an OLED display with 95% DCI-P3, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and a processor with an AI accelerator – an exceptional combination at this price point.

Why this laptop is interesting

The HP OmniBook 5 belongs to the new category of Copilot+ PC. This means that the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor includes a dedicated NPU unit (Neural Processing Unit) for local processing of AI tasks. In practice, you will use it for features like Recall (searching work history), live captions, webcam image enhancement, or automation within Windows 11.

The configuration is above standard for 2026: 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM ensures smooth multitasking even when working with demanding applications, and a 1TB NVMe SSD Gen4 offers lightning-fast file loading. Eight powerful processor cores with a clock speed of up to 5 GHz can handle office work, photo editing, and video editing.

OLED display: why it matters

The main draw is the 16″ OLED panel with 2K resolution (1920 × 1200). Unlike conventional IPS displays, OLED technology illuminates each pixel individually, resulting in perfect black color and virtually infinite contrast. The 95% DCI-P3 color space coverage will be appreciated by photographers and content creators – colors are faithful and vibrant.

The 16:10 aspect ratio provides more vertical space than the classic 16:9 – you’ll notice it when working with documents, spreadsheets, or programming. The brightness of 300 nits is sufficient for indoor spaces, but it won’t be ideal for working outdoors in bright sunlight.

Practical aspects: battery life, ports, mobility

Weighing 1.79 kg, it’s a relatively light 16″ laptop that you won’t feel too much in your bag. The 59 Wh battery promises up to 14.5 hours of battery life – realistically, expect 10–12 hours during normal work. HP Fast Charge is practical: you can charge from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.

Connectivity includes 2× USB-C (with Power Delivery, DisplayPort support, and 10 Gb/s speed), 2× USB-A (one 10 Gb/s, the other 5 Gb/s), HDMI 2.1, and a combined headphone jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The HP True Vision webcam offers 1080p resolution with noise reduction and a physical shutter for privacy protection.

The backlit keyboard with a numeric keypad will please those who work with spreadsheets or accounting. The “sky blue” chassis is made of recycled aluminum – HP emphasizes sustainability with this model, and the laptop has EPEAT Gold with Climate+ certification.

When it doesn’t make sense

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop, the OmniBook 5 is not the right choice. The integrated AMD Radeon 860M graphics can handle esports titles (League of Legends, CS2) or older games, but you won’t be able to run the latest AAA games in 2K resolution with a smooth frame rate. For gaming, look for a laptop with a dedicated GPU.

Similarly, for demanding 3D rendering or CAD work, the integrated graphics will be a bottleneck. It’s sufficient for viewing projects and everyday work, but Blender or AutoCAD will hit limits with more complex scenes. Also, if you only need a laptop “just for internet and emails,” for 22,760 CZK you’re paying for features (OLED, 32 GB RAM, NPU) that you won’t use.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

The HP OmniBook 5 AI is an ideal choice for creatives, managers, and professionals who want a laptop with an excellent display, long battery life, and sufficient performance headroom for several years to come. For 22,760 CZK (an all-time low), you get a 16″ OLED with 95% DCI-P3, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and a processor with an AI accelerator for future Windows features. This is a combination that you’ll be hard-pressed to find from competitors at this price.

Do you use AI features on your laptop, or do you ignore them for now?
