Huawei Watch GT 6 entice with insane battery life and accurate tracking (first impressions) Home News After a week of testing, the Huawei Watch GT 6 primarily impress with brutal battery life of up to 21 days The display with 3000 nits brightness finally solves the problem of readability in direct sunlight With a code on Alza.cz, the watch costs 5,669 CZK, which is an interesting alternative to more expensive Apple Watch Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 26. 9. 2025 05:30 Advertisement While competitors entice with AI features and smart gadgets, Huawei takes a different path. The Watch GT 6 in the 46mm version, which we have been testing for a week in the Svět Androida editorial office, relies on a proven recipe – endless battery life and quality sports tracking. A classic that doesn't disappoint Display with insane brightness Sports tracking TruSense and health features Compatibility is not an issue First verdict: A certainty that's worth it A classic that doesn’t disappoint The design remained faithful to the previous generation, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The round case with a leather strap looks dignified on the wrist, in the office and in the gym. The craftsmanship is of a high standard – sapphire glass, titanium, and ceramic back indicate that this is not a cheap knockoff, but a genuine watch. What impressed me more than the materials, however, is the weight of around 45 grams without the strap. This is a very good value considering the materials used. You barely feel it on your wrist, which you’ll appreciate especially during sleep or a long run. The control crown has pleasant resistance and vibrations when turning, the button below serves as a quick shortcut to training. Display with insane brightness An AMOLED panel with a 1.47-inch diagonal is nothing revolutionary on paper. But Huawei has pushed the brightness to a top-tier level. The advertised 3000 nits ensure that the display shines brightly enough so you don’t have to shade it with your hand in the midday sun. The Always-on display works reliably, although it does consume a bit of battery. There are hundreds of watch faces in the store, from minimalist ones to those with virtual animals. Yeah, it sounds weird, but it works surprisingly well as motivation for regular movement. KOUPIT HODINKY HUAWEI Sports tracking The new Sunflower Positioning system promises more accurate GPS. In practice, this means that when running in the forest or between apartment blocks, the watch doesn’t draw random scribbles but sticks to reality. For cyclists, a virtual power measurement function has been added. It won’t replace a full-fledged power meter, but for a hobby rider who wants to know if they’re pedaling at 150 or 250 watts, it’s more than enough. Everyone can choose from 100+ sports modes, whether it’s running, cycling, strength training, or swimming. Automatic workout recognition for certain activities is also a given. TruSense and health features The improved TruSense system measures everything possible – heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress, sleep, HRV. Compared to the previous generation, measurements are faster; SpO2, for example, can be measured in 15 seconds instead of half a minute. Sleep tracking is accurate, including REM phases, and in the morning you get a clear summary with tips for improvement. KOUPIT HODINKY HUAWEI The emotion tracking feature is interesting, though a bit of a gimmick. The watch can tell if you’re stressed or relaxed and offers breathing exercises. In practice, it works, but I don’t know how many people in the middle of a workday will say, “Okay, now I’ll do a five-minute meditation.” Compatibility is not an issue Working with both iOS and Android is surprisingly seamless. The Huawei Health app functions identically on both platforms, with all features available. The only exception is replying to notifications, which doesn’t work on iOS due to system limitations. Bluetooth calling via the watch has solid quality, useful in the car or while shopping. Playing music from the watch (up to 4 GB) is great for running without a phone, it’s just a shame about the absence of Spotify or YouTube Music. First verdict: A certainty that’s worth it After a week with the Huawei Watch GT 6, I’m clear – these are not watches for geeks who want the latest features. NFC payments, eSIM, advanced third-party apps are missing. On the other hand, when you wake up in the morning and the watch shows 75% battery after a week of wear, all shortcomings fade away. KOUPIT HODINKY HUAWEI For the price of 5,669 CZK with code 10WATCHGT6CZ on Alza.cz, you get a watch that lasts three times longer than an Apple Watch, measures everything necessary for sports, and looks like a normal watch, not a computer on your wrist. For runners, cyclists, or anyone who doesn’t want to look for a charger every evening, these are among the best watches on the market. We will prepare a complete review after a month of testing, once we verify the long-term measurement accuracy and all sports modes. For now, however, the GT 6 are heading towards a very positive evaluation. What do you think of Huawei’s new watch?
