Huawei has just concluded its Munich premiere of “Chase the Wild” and is sending the new generation of sports watches directly to Czech retailers. The Watch GT 7 targets runners and tourists with up to three weeks of battery life, while the Pro model adds more durable materials and ECG measurement. Thanks to an introductory offer, both versions are now 15% cheaper.

What’s new with the Huawei Watch GT 7?

The basic model features a round stainless steel case and will be available in two sizes. The larger 46mm variant houses a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, while the smaller 41mm version has a 1.32-inch panel. Both screens shine with a brightness of up to 3,000 nits, ensuring readability even in bright sunlight.

Battery life remains the main advantage. For the 46mm model, Huawei promises up to 21 days on a single charge, and for the smaller 41mm version, roughly two weeks. However, these are manufacturer’s laboratory values and only apply with the always-on display turned off – once you leave it on, the real battery life drops to about a week.

The series’ new features are mainly software-based. Skiing and snowboarding modes have been added, which also measure G-forces in turns, along with a new set of features for cyclists including climb planning and warnings for sharp turns. In total, the watches support over a hundred sports modes, and you can download maps for more than three thousand ski resorts.

A new health readiness overview, an improved TruSleep 5.0 sleep algorithm, and heart rate variability tracking also monitor your wrist. The Watch GT 7 measures heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and skin temperature, and uses an optical sensor to warn of possible atrial fibrillation. Multi-band GPS tracks your location, you can pay via Curve Pay, and even make calls from the watch. To pair, you only need a phone with Android 9 or newer, or an iPhone.

How does the Watch GT 7 Pro differ?

The premium model is only available in one size (46 mm) and primarily focuses on materials. The body is made of titanium alloy, the bezel of nanoceramics, and the display is covered by durable sapphire glass instead of regular glass found on the basic version.

As the only one of the pair, the Pro can measure ECG – after exercise, it will prompt you to place your finger on the side electrode for thirty seconds. Additionally, it has a depth sensor and can withstand free diving up to 40 meters, whereas the basic model only offers 5ATM water resistance and is suitable for swimming in a pool.

Athletes will also appreciate the detailed golf mode with a database of over 17,000 courses and advanced navigation for trail running. It charges wirelessly, and according to Huawei, a full charge takes approximately one hour.

Price and Availability

The basic Watch GT 7 costs 7,299 CZK, whether you choose the 41mm or 46mm variant. The Watch GT 7 Pro will cost 10,499 CZK. However, thanks to an introductory offer, you can reduce the price of both models by 15%: after entering the code HUAWEIGT7, you will pay 6,204 CZK for the basic watch and 8,924 CZK for the Pro version.

Would you go for the basic Watch GT 7, or pay extra for the titanium Pro?
