Disassembling electronics doesn’t end with unscrewing the cover. The iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit therefore, in addition to a screwdriver and bits, also includes equipment for opening devices and handling small components: plastic spudgers, a suction cup, or several types of tweezers. Suction cup for display, tweezers for small parts

The suction cup and plastic spudgers are definitely worth mentioning as aids for display removal. Specifically, the case contains 3 soft plastic opening tools, 6 opening picks, and 2 plastic spudgers. In addition to these, you also get metal spudgers and a Jimmy opener. The equipment thus doesn’t stop at loosening screws: it also accounts for separating device parts.

For small parts, cross, bent, and blunt-tip tweezers are provided. A magnetic mat will serve for holding metal screws, while an anti-static wrist strap prevents unwanted discharges during work. These accessories make sense for someone who wants to tackle more than just replacing a single bit at the workbench.

64 bits and a flexible extension for hard-to-reach places

The core of the screwing part is a 4mm aluminum screwdriver with 64 interchangeable bits. In addition to common profiles, the kit also includes Tri-point, Hex, triangular bits, and sockets of various sizes. For working in hard-to-reach spaces, a 150 mm long flexible shaft extension is included.

Among the specialized accessories, you’ll find a Standoff bit for iPhone, a magnetic Pickup bit, and a SIM card eject tool. Also included is a 4 mm to 1/4″ adapter.
