High-brightness laser projection

The Hisense C2 uses Triple Color Laser technology with 28 laser chips, ensuring a wide color gamut covering 110% of the BT.2020 standard. Brightness reaches 2000 ANSI lumens, allowing viewing even in partially lit rooms – although for the best experience, we naturally recommend darkening the room.

The native resolution is 3840 × 2160 pixels, and the projector supports Dolby Vision for improved dynamic range. The projected image size can be adjusted from 65 to 300 inches, making it suitable for both a smaller living room and outdoor screenings.

Gimbal design for flexible placement

One of the most interesting features of the Hisense C2 is its gimbal design, which allows for 360° horizontal rotation and 135° vertical rotation. This means you can project not only onto a wall but also onto the ceiling or even the floor. Additionally, the projector can be wall-mounted or placed on a table – it’s entirely up to your preferences.

An AI system handles automatic image adjustment, ensuring focusing, keystone correction, and obstacle detection. If, for example, a lamp or another object enters the projection field, the projector automatically adjusts the image to avoid the obstacle.

JBL sound and smart system

Hisense has integrated JBL speakers into the C2 with Dolby Atmos support and DTS Virtual:X technology for surround sound. This will suffice for regular movie watching, although more demanding users will likely opt for an external soundbar.

The projector runs on the VIDAA operating system, which offers direct access to apps like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Prime Video. You can control it by voice via Alexa or the built-in VIDAA Voice assistant. Available ports include HDMI, USB 3.2, and a standard USB for connecting consoles or external storage devices.

Who is the Hisense C2 suitable for?

The Hisense C2 will be appreciated primarily by those looking for a compact alternative to a large TV and wanting to enjoy a cinematic experience on a big screen. Its gimbal design makes it an interesting choice for those who need flexibility in placement – for example, in a rental where drilling into the ceiling is not possible.

On the other hand, there are limitations to consider. The 60 Hz refresh rate and lack of 120 Hz support mean it’s not an ideal choice for demanding gaming on next-gen consoles. While the low-latency game mode helps, avid gamers will likely be happier with a dedicated gaming monitor or TV. Also, the 26 dB noise level is not entirely negligible – you might hear it during quiet scenes.

At the current price of around 30 thousand CZK, it’s a solid offer for those who want a 4K laser projector with an integrated smart system and don’t want to pay double for premium models. However, if you expect top-tier gaming performance or absolute silence, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
