  • Leaker Sonny Dickson published new photos of a dummy model of the first foldable iPhone on X, providing the best look at its design so far.
  • According to current leaks, the foldable is expected to offer a 5.5" outer and a 7.8" inner OLED display, and an A20 Pro chip.

The foldable iPhone is slowly emerging from the fog of leaks, and we have its best images yet. Following recently published photos of dummy models, leaker Sonny Dickson posted another set of images on X, showing the design more clearly than ever before. It mainly confirms what we’ve suspected about the phone for some time.

What we know about the foldable iPhone

Although earlier speculations mentioned a black version in addition to the white color variant (even if, according to these reports, we won’t see any more vibrant shades), according to Dickson, there is no indication that any other version than white should exist. We are curious whether any future leaks will be able to unravel this mystery.

The camera module’s design was inspired by this year’s iPhone Air. In terms of displays, it is expected to feature a 5.5″ outer panel and, when unfolded, a 7.8″ inner OLED. The body is said to combine titanium and aluminum, and the hinge reportedly won’t leave a visible crease on the display, a challenge Samsung struggled with for several generations.

Inside, the upcoming A20 Pro chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process, is expected to tick, accompanied by 12 GB of RAM. Surprisingly, Touch ID in the side button is reportedly making a comeback. This makes sense, as Face ID would only work in certain positions on a foldable device, and hiding it under the display to authenticate the owner in both folded and unfolded states is technically challenging.

Apple is reportedly setting the price at 2,000 dollars and up, placing the phone above current top-tier foldables from Samsung and Honor. The unveiling is expected in September 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series.

Would you pay over 50,000 for a foldable iPhone?
