A laptop that won’t weigh you down in your backpack and whose display you’ll enjoy looking at usually doesn’t cost as much as a standard office machine. The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor now costs 22,990 CZK on Alza with AlzaPlus+ membership, which is 9,000 CZK less than it cost at its May launch. You’ll also appreciate the all-metal body and Wi-Fi 7 support, though the 60Hz refresh rate will definitely be a disadvantage.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you want a lightweight fourteen-inch laptop with a touch OLED display for work, study, and travel, and you don’t mind getting AlzaPlus+.
⚠️ Consider that the display only runs at 60 Hz, 16 GB of memory is soldered on, and the discount practically disappears without membership.
💡 For 22,990 CZK (plus 299 CZK for annual membership) you get an all-metal body, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, and a 75 Wh battery.

How much will you pay for the Zenbook?

Normally, the Zenbook on Alza now costs 30,653 CZK, which is a saving of only 1,337 CZK compared to the May price of 31,990 CZK. It only becomes interesting with AlzaPlus+ membership, with which the price drops to 22,990 CZK. In total, you will pay 23,289 CZK and still save 7,364 CZK compared to the regular price on Alza.

The official ASUS e-shop also states the same amount, but the laptop is currently out of stock there. Alza has it in stock and also includes gifts from the manufacturer: one year of damage protection (after registration on the ASUS website), one month of Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, and three months of GoPro Premium+.

Touch OLED impresses with colors. Less so with smoothness

The main draw is the fourteen-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is suitable for documents and web browsing. The manufacturer states 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, 400 nits brightness (up to 500 nits in HDR), and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The display is touch-enabled and also supports a stylus, so you can sign contracts or jot down quick notes on it.

While the Zenbook 14 pages also tempt with a 3K OLED at 120 Hz, that’s offered by different configurations. This variant only has a 60 Hz refresh rate, so web scrolling won’t be as smooth as on more expensive models. However, for office work, movies, or photo editing, this isn’t a significant issue.

Fourteen cores in a 1.28 kg body

Inside, an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H with fourteen cores and a clock speed of up to 4.9 GHz is at work, complemented by Intel Arc 130T graphics and an NPU unit with 13 TOPS of performance for artificial intelligence tasks. This is enough power for office work, studying, dozens of browser tabs, and light photo editing. However, it is not a Copilot+ PC, so you won’t find the most advanced Windows AI features that require a more powerful NPU here.

ASUS added 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB SSD with a PCIe 4.0 interface to the processor. The memory is soldered to the board and cannot be expanded, but the SSD in the classic M.2 2280 slot can be replaced with a larger one over time. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports with charging and video output, one USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack, while Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless connections.

The all-metal chassis is only 14.9 mm thick and weighs 1.28 kg, so you can carry the laptop daily without issues. According to the manufacturer, it has passed durability tests according to the MIL-STD 810H military standard. The battery has a capacity of 75 Wh, which is a lot for a fourteen-inch machine, and the package includes a 65W USB-C charger. It also features a backlit keyboard, a NumberPad integrated into the touchpad, and an FHD camera with an infrared sensor for facial login via Windows Hello, which can be covered with a privacy shutter.

When to opt for a different laptop?

If you don’t want to get AlzaPlus+, at 30,653 CZK, the offer is significantly less attractive, and it’s worth looking elsewhere. Gamers and video editors might encounter the limits of integrated graphics, and anyone needing more than 16 GB of memory won’t be able to upgrade it here later. If you prioritize image smoothness, keep in mind that this model supports a maximum of 60 Hz and you’ll have to look elsewhere for a higher refresh rate.

What is AlzaPlus+ and is it worth it for you?

AlzaPlus+ is Alza’s paid membership program. Annual membership costs 299 CZK (monthly is 59 CZK), and its main advantage is free shipping all year round. The second draw is discounted member prices on selected products – and this Zenbook is one of them.

For a laptop costing over 20 thousand, the math is simple: the membership pays for itself with this purchase alone, with a huge margin. Anyone who shops at Alza at least occasionally will also benefit from free shipping throughout the year. If you don’t want to continue the membership after a year, check your account to see if it renews automatically.

Who is the 23-thousand Zenbook best for?

The Zenbook 14 OLED will be especially appreciated by students, people working on the go, and anyone who wants a quality display in a lightweight body. For 22,990 CZK with AlzaPlus+ membership, you get an all-metal construction, a touch OLED, Thunderbolt 4, and a large battery – features for which you paid 9,000 CZK more in May. Anyone who has been eyeing a lightweight laptop with an OLED display for a while will hardly find a better opportunity.

Do you have AlzaPlus+, or would you get it for such a discount?
