The Disney+ streaming service comes with an offer that finally makes sense for Czech wallets. For 59 crowns per month, you can try the Standard plan for three months, which is a discount of 140 crowns compared to the regular price. You can also get the Premium plan for a better price, which unlocks HDR and 4K resolution options.

Two plans, two worlds

Disney+ offers two plans in this promotion. Standard for 59 CZK per month gives you Full HD picture, download capability, and two simultaneous streams. This means you can watch on a tablet while the kids watch a fairy tale on TV. After three months, however, the price jumps to 219 crowns, which is no longer as appealing.

The Premium plan for 199 CZK per month adds 4K resolution, HDR, and four simultaneous streams. Here the discount is only a hundred, but still better than nothing. After the trial period, you will pay 359 crowns per month, which is already a substantial amount, for which you can get Netflix in similar quality.

More interesting is the annual subscription – 1,990 CZK for Standard or 2,990 CZK for Premium. If you calculate it, Standard comes out to 166 crowns per month and Premium to 249 crowns. That already makes more sense than the monthly plans after the promotion ends.

What you actually get for that money

Disney+ is not just about children’s fairy tales, as some might think. You’ll find the complete Marvel Cinematic Universe there, including series like WandaVision, Loki, or the new Daredevil: Born Again. Star Wars fans will enjoy The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, or Andor.

However, the service has one advantage over the competition – it owns all the content it offers. There’s no risk of a series disappearing in the middle of your viewing because a license expired. What’s on Disney+ once, stays there. On the other hand, new content is added more slowly than, for example, on Netflix.

Catches to watch out for

The offer is valid only until September 27, 2025, and only for new customers or those renewing a canceled subscription. You must be over 18, which is standard for streaming services. After three months, the subscription will automatically renew at the full price – 219 or 359 crowns depending on the plan.

Who the offer is worth it for

A three-month trial for 59 crowns makes sense if you want to catch up on a specific series or browse the Disney movie catalog. For 177 crowns (3×59 CZK), you get three months of entertainment, which is less than one cinema ticket for two people. Just don’t forget to cancel automatic renewal if you don’t want to continue.

The Premium plan for 199 crowns per month is not as advantageous. If you don’t have a 4K TV or Full HD on your phone and tablet is enough for you, feel free to stick with Standard.

Verdict: Try it and cancel in time

Disney+ for 59 crowns per month is an unbeatable offer, but only for three months. If you’re a Marvel, Star Wars fan, or have children, definitely give it a try. Just set a reminder for the end of November so you can cancel your subscription before automatic renewal.

For long-term subscribers, the annual plan for 1,990 CZK makes more sense, which works out cheaper than three months on promotion plus nine months at full price. Disney+ is not the cheapest streaming service, but the quality of its content is undeniable. Whether you want to pay for it long-term depends on your taste and budget.
