Do you want a lightweight band with excellent battery life and its own GPS for a few hundred? The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro now costs 1,175 CZK with code ALZADNY30 instead of 1,679 CZK. Since a newer model is already on sale, we’ll start with the question that probably comes to mind first.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want an inexpensive and lightweight band with weeks of battery life, a bright display, and its own GPS.
⚠️ Consider that NFC payments don’t work in the EU, it’s not a smartwatch, and heart rate during higher exertion can sometimes be inaccurate.
💡 For 1,175 CZK with code ALZADNY30, it’s one of the best-rated bands – 4.7/5 from 243 reviews.

9 Pro, or the newer 10 Pro?

Both models share the same square design, aluminum body, built-in GPS, and comparable battery life. The newer Band 10 Pro (for 1,899 CZK) mainly adds a brighter display up to 2000 nits, a more powerful chip, and slightly more accurate sensors. If you’re not chasing the highest brightness in direct sunlight and the latest generation of sensors, the 9 Pro for 1,175 CZK will save you over 700 CZK and offer practically the same experience. For most people, it’s the more sensible purchase.

What 243 owners praise

The vast majority of reviews focus on battery life – typically two to three weeks, and even with heart rate, sleep tracking, and GPS enabled, easily over a week. Many people switched from Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch precisely because of the battery and don’t regret it. The bright AMOLED display, easily readable in sunlight, built-in GPS independent of the phone, and overall price/performance ratio are also praised. The quick-release strap in the Apple Watch style and gesture control without buttons are also pleasant.

What to watch out for

Three things are repeated in reviews. NFC payments do not work in the EU – although the chip is inside, paying with the band is currently only available in China, so don’t count on it. It’s not a smartwatch – there’s no speaker or microphone, so you can’t make calls or reply to messages (you can only read them). And heart rate measurement during higher exertion sometimes jumps to unrealistic values, especially when running or over tattoos. A few users also mention that the band doesn’t reconnect automatically after Bluetooth is turned off (airplane mode) and requires opening the app.

For regular tracking of steps, sleep, and recreational sports with GPS, it’s a great choice for 1,175 CZK. If you want to make calls and pay from your wrist or need accuracy for serious training, opt for a full-fledged smartwatch.

Will you bet on the cheaper 9 Pro, or pay extra for the brighter display of the newer 10 Pro?
