Lenovo can be considered a traditional manufacturer of Android tablets. Not only does it offer a relatively wide range of devices, but it also regularly updates its model lines. The manufacturer has now unveiled a pair of tablets – the Lenovo Yoga Tab and Idea Tab Plus. Both models will offer a display with above-average brightness of 800 nits, a metal construction, and a quartet of loud speakers. Otherwise, however, they target quite different audiences.

Decent Mid-Range and Solutions for Demanding Users

We can start with the more affordable Lenovo Idea Tab Plus. It will offer a large, 12.1″ IPS panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a high resolution of 2560 x 1600 px. The heart of this tablet is the Mediatek Dimensity 6400 chipset, supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Unlike its more expensive counterpart, this new device will also be available with 5G connectivity. Inside, there’s a generous 10200 mAh battery, and 45W charging is supported via a USB-C connector with a USB 2.0 controller. A stylus and a keyboard cover, connectable via contacts on the bottom edge of the device, are also supported.

The more feature-rich Lenovo Yoga Tab boasts a slightly smaller 11.1″ LTPS display. However, this one already has a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3200 x 2000 pixels. In both cases, the displays will offer a 16:10 aspect ratio. Inside the Lenovo Yoga Tab is an older, but still very powerful, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This new device will also be offered in a single 12/256GB variant. Power is supplied by a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 8,860 mAh. Probably thanks to this, the tablet weighs a pleasant 458 grams. Charging here occurs at a maximum of 68W.

Compared to the cheaper model, a fast USB 3.2 controller is present here, and thanks to the chipset used, the new device will also offer Wi-Fi 7 support. Unfortunately, the Lenovo Yoga Tab will not be available in a version with 5G mobile connectivity support. The tablet will also be available with a keyboard cover including a touchpad and the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro stylus. This will offer up to 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and even haptic feedback. Both new Lenovo devices will arrive on the market with Android 15. In the case of the more expensive model, the manufacturer promises an update up to a potential Android 18, while the cheaper of the pair should only receive Android 17 over the years. In both cases, however, Lenovo promises 4 years of security updates.

Availability and Price

The Lenovo Yoga Tab and Idea Tab Plus will arrive on European markets in September, with specific availability and pricing for our market not yet specified. The more feature-rich of the two models is expected to cost 499 €, or approximately 12,200 CZK. The cheaper Idea Tab Plus will cost 299 €, which is approximately 7,300 CZK – however, the manufacturer did not specify whether this is for the Wi-Fi or 5G variant.
