LG also has RGB Mini LED. This year's new model dropped by ten thousand and offers a phenomenal picture

RGB Mini LED is the most talked-about technology this year – and after Hisense, LG now offers it too. The 65MRGB88B6B model now costs 29,993 Kč with code ALZADNY25 instead of 39,990 Kč. It is this year’s new product, for which LG prides itself on one number: dual certification of 100% color volume.

Why RGB Mini LED is being talked about

Classic Mini LED backlighting uses white diodes, and color is created by a filter in front of the panel – some light is lost in the process, and colors are not as accurate. RGB Mini LED instead uses separate red, green, and blue diodes, so color is generated directly at the source. The result is richer and more faithful colors without loss of brightness.

LG calls the technology RGB Primary Color Pro and boasts dual certification of 100% color volume – meaning the TV displays the full range of colors even at high brightness, not just in dark scenes, as is common with cheaper panels. The image is processed by the Alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor, the latest generation of the chip, which handles resolution upscaling for older content and TV broadcasts.

Also crucial is the anti-reflective screen surface – combined with bright RGB backlighting, this means the TV performs well even in a sunlit living room, where OLEDs struggle. It supports Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, and HLG and has 10-bit color depth.

For gamers and what’s missing

LG has long been the first choice for gamers, and here too, the equipment is complete: 144 Hz in gaming mode, VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, and all three HDMI ports are version 2.1. The webOS system has a complete Czech offering (Oneplay, Prima+, SledováníTV, Telly, Skylink, Kuki) and Xbox Game Pass directly on the TV, and is compatible with Google Assistant, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit.

Where do you need to compromise? The connectivity is sparser than the competition – only three HDMI ports and a single USB, which can get tight with a console, set-top box, and soundbar. Wi-Fi is version 5, which is surprising for this year’s model, and the 20W speakers are underpowered for 65 inches, so consider a soundbar a mandatory accessory.

And expect 160 kWh consumption per thousand hours in HDR (class G) – bright RGB backlighting simply consumes more. The TV weighs 26.6 kg, but without the stand, it is only 5 centimeters thin; Alza offers delivery and wall mounting for it.
