Robotic lawnmowers are slowly becoming a common part of Czech gardens, but prices for premium models still start around 15 thousand. PARKSIDE PAMRC 250 A1 City for 4,499 CZK on Lidl.cz represents an entry-level model for those who want to try automatic mowing without significant investment. Let’s see what you actually get for this money.

What is PAMRC 250 A1 City and who is it for

PARKSIDE targets gardens up to 250 m² – which is roughly the size of a tennis court. In practice, this means a typical garden at a terraced house or a smaller area around a family house. The lawnmower uses a classic system with a boundary wire that you must lay around the perimeter of the lawn. It’s not the most modern solution, but it works reliably.

A cutting width of just 16 cm means the lawnmower has to make more passes than larger models. For a small garden, this is not a problem, but expect it to be in operation more often than more expensive competitors with a cutting width of 20-25 cm.

Advantage of the PARKSIDE X 20V Team system

The lawnmower uses a standard 20V battery with a capacity of 2.0 Ah from the PARKSIDE X 20V Team series. If you already have other tools from this range (drill, angle grinder, vacuum cleaner), you can share the batteries.

Mowing time per charge is around 50 minutes, and charging takes 2 hours. For a garden up to 250 m², this is sufficient, but expect it to mow larger areas in several passes with charging breaks.

Features and control – basic, but sufficient

You can control the lawnmower in three ways: directly on the machine, via the PARKSIDE mobile app (Bluetooth), or by setting a schedule. The app is not the most sophisticated – some reviews complain about connection stability – but it handles basic functions.

Three mowing modes are available:

  • Total boundary – mows the entire defined area
  • Secondary zones – up to 5 separate areas (e.g., front and back garden)
  • Spot mowing – intensive mowing of a specific area

The cutting height is adjusted mechanically with screws to 3 levels. It’s not as convenient as electronic adjustment on more expensive models, but how often do you change the height per season?

Safety features and sensors

PARKSIDE has not forgotten about safety. The lawnmower has a rain sensor (automatically returns to the station), a lift sensor (immediately stops the blades when lifted), and a tilt sensor. Access is protected by a PIN code against theft.

What real users say

With a rating of 4.1 out of 5 stars from 45 customers, the lawnmower is generally received positively. Its price/performance ratio and ease of use are particularly praised.

A satisfied customer writes: “Very easy to operate lawnmower, ideal for my 130 m² garden. The app is easy to use, Bluetooth picks up the signal even inside the house.”

However, there are also critical voices. One user, who also owns an older PARKSIDE model, warns: “Unfortunately, this is a degradation of what was originally a great machine. Savings were made on the display, cutting width, or height adjustment.” Others complain about wheel slippage on wet grass.

Boundary wire installation – a one-time job

The package includes 100 meters of cable and 100 pegs. For a garden up to 250 m², this is usually sufficient, but more complex shapes may require purchasing additional cable.

Tip from reviews: it’s better to slightly bury the cable, otherwise the lawnmower might run over and damage it. After a few weeks, it gets overgrown with grass and isn’t visible.

PARKSIDE offers a 3-year warranty and available service in the Czech Republic, which you won’t get with cheap Chinese models.

Conclusion: Functional basics without unnecessary features

PARKSIDE PAMRC 250 A1 City for 4,499 CZK represents a reasonable compromise between price and features. It’s not the smartest or fastest robotic lawnmower, but for small gardens, it will do its job. You’ll especially appreciate the time savings – while the lawnmower is running, you can do something more enjoyable.

With a 3-year warranty and a price under 5 thousand, it is one of the most affordable branded lawnmowers on the Czech market. If you have realistic expectations and don’t need high-tech features, it’s a solid choice for a first experience with robotic mowing.
