A travel lock that tells you where your suitcase is. AlzaGuard Hero Tag is available at Alza for 400 CZK with code ALZADNY50. It combines a TSA-certified padlock with a tracking chip compatible with Apple Find My — so you can lock your suitcase and track it simultaneously in the iPhone app. The battery lasts up to 3 months and charges via USB-C. For four hundred crowns, it’s an ideal accessory before your summer vacation.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you fly and want to keep track of your luggage’s location — lock + tracker in one for the price of an AirTag alone.
⚠️ Consider that it only works with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and the steel cable seems fragile according to one reviewer.
💡 For 400 CZK you get a TSA lock, Apple Find My localization with MFi certification, audible signaling, lost mode, and 3 months of battery life.

How it works

You thread the cable through the zipper pull of your suitcase, lock it, and add the lock to the Find My app on your iPhone. The chip emits an encrypted Bluetooth signal, which is picked up by nearby Apple devices in the network — its location then appears on a map. You can “ping” the lock to find it nearby, activate lost mode (your contact information will be displayed to the finder), or set up alerts when you move away from your luggage. TSA certification means that airport security can open the lock with a universal key without damaging it.

What to consider

It works only with the Apple ecosystem — Android users will have to look elsewhere. The steel cable is thin, and one reviewer points out that it looks like it could be cut with scissors — it won’t provide protection against a determined thief, but it’s sufficient for securing suitcase zippers. A USB-C charging cable is not included in the package. And localization works on the principle of a network of surrounding Apple devices — in a remote location without people with iPhones, the accuracy will be lower.

Do you use an AirTag or another tracker when traveling?
