MacBook Air with M4 chip discounted to minimum in Czechia! It has reliable battery life, quality craftsmanship, and super performance

Apple did something unusual last year: it lowered the price. MacBook Air M4 launched lower than its M3 predecessor, while having 16 GB RAM as standard instead of the original 8 GB. For 2025, Apple added a new sky blue color, an improved camera, and of course, a more powerful chip. And now it’s at Alza for the lowest price. Yes, the new generation with the M5 chip is knocking on the door, but it will probably cost at least 30 thousand (possibly even more due to the memory crisis) and won’t offer anything extra revolutionary.

The M4 chip and what it brings

According to Apple, the ten-core M4 processor is up to 23× faster than the last MacBook Air with Intel and 2× faster than the M1 model. Compared to last year’s M3, the difference is smaller but measurable.

For everyday use – web browsing, office applications, photo editing – the difference between M3 and M4 is rather academic. However, if you’re upgrading from an older MacBook or Windows laptop, the leap will be noticeable.

Battery life exceeds expectations

Apple promises 18 hours of video playback. Independent tests measured almost 20 hours – even more. Interestingly, the previous M3 model lasted about an hour and a half longer. Even so, it’s an excellent result that the competition is only just catching up to.

A weight of 1.24 kg and a thickness of 1.1 cm mean that the Air truly lives up to its name. You practically don’t feel it in your backpack.

Where Apple saves

The display remains Liquid Retina (IPS LCD) with a resolution of 2560 × 1664 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Competitors in a similar price category already offer OLED panels with 120 Hz. This isn’t an issue for regular work, but movie enthusiasts and graphic designers might miss deeper blacks and more vibrant colors.

Ports are also limited: two Thunderbolt 4, MagSafe charging, and a headphone jack. No USB-A, card reader, or HDMI. If you need to connect more devices, expect to purchase a hub.

Sky blue and improved camera

The new color is subtle – depending on the viewing angle and lighting, it looks either silver or softly blue. It’s not a vibrant blue, rather an elegant shade.

The improved 12MP camera with Center Stage tracks your movement and automatically adjusts the shot. Practical for video calls when you’re moving or when another person joins the screen.
