Metal power bank from Alza discounted for the first time since last year. It charges three devices at once and has excellent ratings

Dozens of power banks have been discounted during Alza Days, and if you appreciate a more premium construction, we have a tip for you. The large version of Alza’s metal power bank hasn’t been part of any sale since last December, and now you can buy it with code ALZADNY30 for 629 Kč instead of 899 Kč.

Quick summary:
✅ It will serve you well if you’re looking for a large power reserve for your phone, headphones, and watch on the go, and charging around 20 W is sufficient for you.
⚠️ Keep in mind that you probably won’t charge a laptop from it, and it takes about seven hours to fully charge itself.
💡 For 629 Kč, you’re getting a power bank that 93% of Alza customers recommend.

Not on sale since December

The power bank was last cheaper last November, and only now has the price moved again. With code ALZADNY30, it will cost 629 Kč, which is 270 Kč (30%) less than before the promotion. While it’s not the absolute minimum price (last autumn, it could be bought even cheaper with a code, one customer in a review mentions 520 Kč), it hasn’t offered a better price since then. Alza has it in stock.

The power bank is among the popular items; according to Alza, over 5,000 units have been sold, and we wrote about its smaller sibling with a 10,000 mAh capacity in August, when it also went on sale after a long time.

How many times can you charge your phone with it?

Inside is a battery with a capacity of 20,000 mAh, or 74 Wh. How many charges you actually get from it depends on the phone, but one customer writes that they charged an iPhone 15 Pro about five times and one of the four indicator lights was still on the power bank. Another buyer disassembled it and measured 19,930 mAh at the cells, so according to them, the declared capacity is accurate.

You can connect up to three devices at once: there are two USB-C ports with up to 20 W output and one USB-A with up to 22.5 W. If all three are connected, they share a combined 15 W. The power bank supports Power Delivery 3.0, Quick Charge 3.0, and fast charging for Samsung and other brands. For headphones and watches with low power consumption, it has a Low Power Mode, which you activate by holding the button for two seconds. The body measures 137 × 64 × 25 mm.

Fast for phones, but not for laptops

The output stops at 12 V, which is too low for most laptops. A customer who disassembled the power bank writes that their laptop didn’t charge from it at all, and also points out that fast charging turns off when you charge the power bank and power a phone from it simultaneously, or when you connect more devices to it. While another reports that it can even charge a Mac, it’s better not to count on charging a laptop on the go.

The opposite direction is also slower. The power bank charges at a maximum of 18 W, and a full charge takes about seven hours according to the manufacturer, so ideally overnight. The included double-sided USB-C cable is only 30 cm long, which some buyers mention as a minor flaw.

It has 4.7 stars on Alza and minimal complaints

Customers give it 4.7 out of 5 stars from 172 ratings, and 93% of them recommend it. The return rate remains low at 0.9%. Among the 58 written reviews are also comments on the smaller 10,000 mAh version from the same series. Buyers praise the sturdy metal body, reasonable dimensions for its capacity, and the watch mode; one person would only prefer it to turn on automatically.

On the other hand, the higher weight is a recurring point, but this is to be expected with 20,000 mAh. Several people, mostly with the smaller version, complain that charging interrupts itself after a while, and one Slovak reviewer would appreciate more prominent LED indicators, which they say are barely visible outside in the sun.

When to look elsewhere?

If you want to charge a laptop or a phone with fast charging above 20 W from the power bank, you’ll need a more powerful model with higher voltage. Those who will mostly carry it in their pocket and only charge one phone will likely be fine with a lighter 10,000 mAh version. And if you want to see exactly how much power is left, the Metal Gen2 doesn’t have a display, and the remaining capacity is shown by only four indicator lights.

Who won’t make a mistake for 629 Kč?

The AlzaPower Metal Gen2 will be especially appreciated by those who need to charge their phone multiple times in a row, along with headphones or a watch, for a holiday, cottage trip, or long train journey. For 629 Kč with code ALZADNY30, you get a metal power bank with good ratings and a three-year warranty at the lowest price since last November. However, those who need more watts for a laptop won’t find the right solution here.

Will you opt for a large power bank, or is a smaller pocket-sized one enough for you?
