The difference between classic LED backlighting and Mini LED lies in the number of diodes behind the panel – allowing the TV to dim individual parts of the image more precisely. In practice, this means deeper blacks in night scenes and less of that grayish haze that cheap TVs exhibit in dark passages. At a price point under twelve thousand, this is a feature usually not offered by competitors, though it must be added that Samsung does not mention their number anywhere, so I would count them in the tens rather than higher hundreds.

Connectivity is unusually generous: three HDMI 2.1 ports including eARC for soundbar connection, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth. The Tizen system is among the snappiest and offers a complete Czech selection – Oneplay, Prima+, SledováníTV, Telly, Kuki, Skylink, and Vodafone TV, plus of course Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Apple TV. Gamers will appreciate AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and game mode, and Samsung also adds free services worth up to CZK 2,750 as part of the “Created for Czechia” promotion and an Art Gallery feature that turns a switched-off TV into a wall painting.

Where it’s clear it’s not a higher-end model

A significant limitation is the 50/60 Hz refresh rate. This is sufficient for movies, series, and sports without issues, but PlayStation or Xbox owners won’t be able to utilize the 120 Hz their consoles support – thus, the HDMI 2.1 ports are only partially utilized. Dolby Atmos is also missing in the audio (the TV only supports DTS Digital Surround), and the 20W speakers are rather average. The screen surface is glossy, which means reflections in a bright room.
