MiniLED for 8 thousand? This Samsung TV is a great deal right now

When we highlighted the Samsung UE50M72H in September, it cost just under ten thousand. Now it makes more sense even for someone who didn’t want to allocate that much for a new TV: with code ALZADNY30, Alza sells it for 7,990 CZK. The fifty-inch screen is suitable for a smaller living room or bedroom, where a large TV would unnecessarily take up an entire wall.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if: you primarily want movies, series, and regular broadcasts on a reasonably sized screen for less than eight thousand.
⚠️ Consider: for gaming at 120 frames per second, a different model is needed. This panel belongs to the 50/60 Hz class.
💡 Compared to the September promotion, you will pay two thousand less. You get the discount by entering the code in the cart.

Movies and Czech TV without an extra box

The basis is a 4K LCD panel with Mini LED backlighting. However, one thing needs to be added here. Although Samsung promotes the TV under the name “Mini LED”, it lacks full-fledged local dimming. In reality, it is a common Direct LED panel where the diodes are only more densely packed; at this price, it’s probably not surprising, just keep in mind that Samsung played more with marketing here.

Tizen takes care of streaming: you can launch Oneplay, Netflix, or Disney+ directly on the TV, for example. So you don’t have to add a separate TV box for regular viewing of these services.

For connecting a console, set-top box, or other devices, there are three HDMI inputs. One supports eARC for a soundbar. You can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or cable, which is useful if the wireless signal near the TV stand is weak.

How much space it needs and how the price compares

With the stand, the TV is approximately 111 cm wide and just under 20 cm deep. The feet are spaced about 75 cm apart, so when choosing a table, you don’t have to account for supports all the way to the edges of the screen. For wall mounting, it uses VESA 200 × 200 mm.

In the current Heureka comparison, another offer for the same model started at 9,227 CZK plus shipping from 119 CZK. Alza is therefore cheaper in this check even compared to another seller, not just against its own price without the code.
