Mini LED TV under ten thousand? CHiQ M55QN9G combines backlighting technology found in premium models with a lower mid-range price. The CHiQ brand may not be as well-known as Samsung or LG, but it has 65 years of experience in TV manufacturing and operates its own factory and service center in the Czech Republic.

Mini LED with better black

Mini LED backlighting means more local dimming zones than with standard LED panels. The result? Deeper blacks and better contrast, especially in dark scenes. “Excellent picture, black is very good even when watching in complete darkness,” one customer confirms.

QLED technology adds a wider color gamut and higher brightness. The combination of both technologies in this price category is unusual – you would typically pay significantly more for Mini LED.

Beware of refresh rate

Marketing talks about 120 Hz, but the reality is different. The native refresh rate of the panel is 50/60 Hz. DLG 120Hz and MEMC technologies are interpolative – they calculate intermediate frames. This works for watching movies and sports, but gamers expecting true 120 Hz will be disappointed. It is not suitable for PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles in 120fps mode.

Google TV and fast response

The Google TV system runs smoothly thanks to its 4-core processor, however, 2 GB of RAM is questionable. “Fast response to user interface,” a customer praises. Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video – everything is available directly from the store. Chromecast and AirPlay allow streaming from a phone.

Sound is a weakness

Built-in 20W speakers with Dolby Atmos are standard for a thin TV, but customers repeatedly mention: “Sound corresponds to flat TVs,” or “weaker sound.” If sound quality is important to you, plan on purchasing a soundbar.

For this price, you get a Mini LED panel with Google TV, 4K resolution, and a four-year warranty. The compromises are clear: weaker sound and interpolated 120 Hz instead of true 120 Hz. However, for regular TV and movie watching, this is more than enough.
