More affordable Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE leak in first render. Design is a slight surprise

It looks like Samsung is preparing a more affordable variant of its currently offered wireless earbuds. The first render of the upcoming Galaxy Buds3 FE has appeared online, surprisingly showing that this cheaper variant will not be based on the basic Galaxy Buds3 model, but will take inspiration from the design of the more premium Galaxy Buds3 Pro.

Design surprisingly copies the premium model

According to a leaked render published by renowned leaker Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks on social media platform X, the Galaxy Buds3 FE will resemble the more expensive Galaxy Buds3 Pro model in appearance. This is quite surprising, as the FE series usually derives from basic models. The Galaxy Buds3 Pro design last year represented a significant departure from previous generations of Samsung earbuds, and many noticed its similarity to Apple AirPods.

Interestingly, the leaked render was removed from social media platform X shortly after its publication – Samsung was evidently not too pleased with the premature information leak and had the image blocked, citing its copyright. However, foreign server 9to5Google, for example, managed to capture it.

Expected compromises for a lower price

Samsung will likely reduce costs by removing some premium features from the FE model, allowing it to offer the earbuds at a more affordable price. It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy Buds3 FE will feature LED status indicators, which are found on the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro models. However, thanks to the Pro-inspired design, the more affordable earbuds could paradoxically be a better choice than the basic Galaxy Buds3 in terms of comfort and ergonomics.

Availability and price unknown yet

We do not yet have any official information regarding the price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE earbuds. Given that the first render is already circulating online, we can expect the official market launch to not be too far off.
