Motorola has just jumped on the wave of extremely thin phones with its Moto X70 Air model. The new device boasts a thickness of just 6mm and a weight of 159 grams, placing it alongside models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, iPhone Air, and Nubia Air. The phone has already appeared on Lenovo’s website in China, though without a price yet.

Thin Profile with a Large Display

The Motorola Moto X70 Air features a 6.7″ pOLED display with a resolution of 1220 × 2712 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits and Pantone certification for accurate color reproduction. It also includes an in-display fingerprint reader and SGS-certified eye protection.

Larger Battery Than Competitors

While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900 mAh battery and the iPhone Air only 3,149 mAh, Motorola opted for a 4,800 mAh cell. This supports 68W wired charging and also 15W wireless charging. Even with its extremely thin body, the phone offers solid endurance.

Trio of 50Mpx Cameras

On the rear, we find a 50Mpx main camera with a Samsung sensor and optical image stabilization. It is complemented by a 50Mpx ultrawide lens with a 120° field of view. The selfie camera in the display punch-hole also has a resolution of 50 megapixels.

Mid-Range with Premium Features

Under the hood, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor is at work, complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola added a 3D vapor chamber for better heat dissipation. The phone runs on the latest Android 16.

The construction has received IP68 and IP69 certification for dust and water resistance, including hot water jets. The reinforced metal frame is designed to withstand drops from various angles. Three Pantone-validated color variants will be available: Gadget Gray, Lily Pad (darker green), and Bronze Green (lighter green).

Global Launch as Edge 70

The Motorola Moto X70 Air will be officially unveiled in China on October 31, while the global version, named Motorola Edge 70, will arrive on November 5. The manufacturer has not yet announced prices, but given the processor used, it will be a mid-range device.
