New Garmins combine AMOLED with analog hands. They have excellent battery life and durability, we know the price

The American sports electronics manufacturer Garmin has expanded its offering in the Czech Republic with interesting hybrid watches, the Instinct Crossover AMOLED. The new product combines classic analog hands with a modern 1.2″ AMOLED display and targets users looking for durable outdoor watches with a traditional look. The model arrived on our market together with the Venu 4 fitness watch and costs 14,990 CZK.

Combining analog hands with a digital display

Instinct Crossover AMOLED offer a 47mm polymer case reinforced with metal elements and a dual-layer metal bezel. The main attraction is the combination of physical watch hands with a Super-LumiNova layer for visibility in the dark and a colorful AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 × 390 pixels. The hands automatically move aside when text or graphics are displayed, so as not to obstruct information reading.

The RevoDrive technology is responsible for reliable time display, continuously calibrating the position of the hands. The system can automatically detect deviation after a strong impact and recalibrate the hands to always show the precise time. The display is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass.

Military-grade durability and 14-day battery life

The watch meets the MIL-STD-810 military standard for resistance to high temperatures and shocks. It features 10 ATM (100 meters) water resistance and can operate in temperatures from -20 °C to +55 °C. With a weight of 67 grams, it is among the brand’s lighter outdoor models.

Battery life reaches up to 14 days in smartwatch mode with active health metric tracking and a connected phone. In power-saving mode, the watch lasts up to 18 days. When using GPS, battery life drops to 29 hours, and with all satellite systems activated, including multi-band reception, to 15 hours.

LED flashlight and advanced navigation

Instinct Crossover AMOLED include an integrated LED flashlight with two light colors. White light offers four intensity levels, while red light (green in the Tactical version) helps preserve night vision. The flashlight also supports a blinking mode for emergency situations.

For navigation, the watch uses multi-band GPS with support for GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo systems. SatIQ technology automatically optimizes power consumption while maintaining maximum positioning accuracy. The equipment includes a barometric altimeter, a 3-axis compass, and a thermometer.

Health tracking and sports features

The watch continuously measures heart rate, blood oxygen saturation using a pulse oximeter, heart rate variability, and respiration rate. The Sleep Advisor feature analyzes individual sleep phases and provides recommendations for improving rest quality. The morning report summarizes data on sleep, recovery, and training readiness.

For athletes, pre-installed profiles are available for running, cycling, swimming, strength training, and other activities. The watch measures VO2 Max, recommends recovery time between workouts, and offers daily recommended workouts tailored to current fitness. It also supports Garmin Coach training plans for runners and cyclists.

The model primarily targets outdoor enthusiasts and users who prefer the traditional look of watches with hands. The metal bezel gives the watch a robust elegance suitable for both outdoor adventures and everyday wear in the city. Compared to the fully digital fēnix series models, the Instinct Crossover AMOLED offers a unique combination of classic and modern design.

Availability and price

Garmin Instinct Crossover AMOLED are available in the Czech Republic for 14,990 CZK in two color variants: Charcoal (dark gray) and Bronze/Sunburst (bronze). The watch comes with a 22mm silicone strap, which can be replaced with another thanks to the QuickFit system. A version with tactical features is also available for 17,490 CZK.
