Xiaomi is expanding its Mijia series with an affordable S100 Cloud Pattern Blade Edition shaver, which focuses on simplicity and portability. It offers a washable body with IPX7 certification, a travel lock, and a dual floating head – and it appeared on store shelves in China for 99 yuan, which is approximately 310 Czech crowns after conversion. A small travel shaver is not a novelty for the brand – we showed one back in 2024.

Great design for travel

The dimensions are around 90.8 × 58.5 × 30.3 millimeters, so the shaver can easily disappear into a cosmetic bag. The entire body has IPX7 certification – meaning you can rinse it directly under running water. The manufacturer opted for a detachable design: you can pop off the head with one hand and wash it from the inside. On the front, there’s a single button, which you can press and hold to activate the travel lock, preventing the device from turning on by itself in your bag.

At its heart is a head with a dual “cloud” mesh blade manufactured using MIM (metal injection molding) technology. According to Xiaomi, this increases the effective shaving area by approximately 34.7 percent – however, this is the manufacturer’s own figure, which we cannot verify ourselves. Furthermore, the dual floating head adapts to the face: it folds inward into a “V” shape for the chin, and outward into an “8” shape to reach the corners of the mouth or sideburns.

What about battery life and charging?

Inside, a motor spins at 7,200 revolutions per minute, and according to Xiaomi, the noise level should remain below 72 dB(A). Power is handled by a USB-C port on the bottom: a full charge takes approximately two hours and then lasts for about 90 minutes of shaving. If you’re in a hurry, fast charging helps – five minutes at the outlet is said to be enough for at least one shave.

Price and availability

In China, the Mijia S100 shaver is sold on JD.com and Xiaomi Youpin for 99 yuan, which is approximately 310 Czech crowns after conversion. The new product is not officially heading to the Czech Republic yet. However, it is not ruled out that it may reach us later.

Would you give Xiaomi’s compact shaver a chance for your travels?
