Nubia Air is a thin but durable new device heading to the Czech Republic Home News ZTE introduced a new thin smartphone, the Nubia Air Besides its slim design, it boasts high durability with IP68/IP69K certification We are also curious about the real-world performance of the not-so-well-known chipset Sdílejte: Vašek Švec Published: 7. 9. 2025 02:30 Advertisement Perhaps in recent weeks, you’ve started to notice a gradually growing offering of ZTE smartphones in the catalogs of major electronics retailers. A hot new device, the Nubia Air smartphone, should soon join them. As the name, winking towards Apple, suggests, it is a very thin smartphone. However, its slender profile is certainly not all this new device has to offer. Decent Battery and Unisoc Chipset Into a design with a thickness of 5.9 mm, or 6.7 mm including the camera module, the manufacturer has packed a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging support. From our perspective, the choice of the Unisoc T8300 chipset is interesting, but for ZTE, it’s a relatively traditional solution found in a wide range of its phones. This 6nm chipset is, in terms of specifications, very similar to solutions like Mediatek Dimensity 6300 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, so lower-mid-range performance can be expected here. It is to be supported by 8 GB RAM and 256GB storage. Despite how the camera module looks, there is only one 50MPx camera on the back with an f/1.6 aperture lens. The remaining two lenses belong to a 2MPx depth sensor and a VGA “auxiliary sensor”. In contrast to the aforementioned features, the display used is quite impressive. It is a 6.78″ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and a very solid brightness of 4,500 nits. Furthermore, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor is hidden beneath the screen. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and the durability of this 172-gram smartphone is also above standard. The Nubia Air meets IP68 and IP69K certification, declaring resistance to dust and high-pressure hot water. As mentioned in the introduction, the Nubia Air will also be sold on our market, but the price has not yet been specified. According to GSMArena.com, however, the new device will launch in Europe with a price tag of 250€, which is approximately 6,100 CZK. That would be an attractive offer, don’t you think? Would you give Nubia’s new device a chance for 6 thousand?
