O2 quietly improved its best Datamania. You get more data for the same price

Operator O2 quietly improved its annual data package Datamania. Instead of the previous 1,000 GB, it now offers 1,200 GB of data, at an unchanged price of 3,499 CZK for the entire year. This is a surprisingly solid increase that can please many users.

An extra 200 GB for the same money

Datamania 1,200 GB remains conceptually the same as before. With a single payment, you get access to data for a full 365 days, which is ideal for those who don’t want to deal with monthly payments or are afraid of forgetting to top up their credit. Data runs on the 5G Max network throughout the Czech Republic, so with good coverage, you will achieve the highest possible speeds that O2 currently offers.

What hasn’t changed? The tariff still does not include calls or SMS, so it is not suitable for those who make calls. Roaming abroad is also missing – if you travel to the European Union, you must purchase a special package, or expect that your data will not work. However, for home use with a data card for a tablet, a backup phone, or even an LTE router, it is still an interesting option.

How to get the package?

The ordering process remained the same as for other Datamania tariffs. You can choose a classic SIM card with free delivery to your mailbox, or a more modern eSIM, which you will receive by email within a few minutes. After inserting the card into your phone, you download the Moje O2 application, where you complete the activation by entering your payment card.

The advantage is that you are not bound by any contract. After a year, you can simply let the SIM card expire, or top it up again and continue. But be careful about one thing: you can order a maximum of 2 SIM cards of each Datamania variant, so if you operate a larger “data farm”, this limitation may affect you.
