One of the best games of 2025: Death Stranding 2: On The Beach now available in Czechia with a discount

Hideo Kojima returned last year with a sequel to his post-apocalyptic delivery saga. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was released in June 2025 and is now significantly discounted for the first time. If you’ve been hesitating, this price will end your indecision.

From America to Australia

After the events of the first installment, Sam Bridges was enjoying a well-deserved rest in Mexico. But Fragile needs his help – this time it’s about connecting Australia to the Chiral Network and saving humanity from another wave of catastrophes. The journey leads across a continent full of supernatural threats, ghost mechs, and black tar.

Kojima compared his approach to the sequel as a transition from Alien to Aliens – same world, different genre. More action, more characters, more spectacle. Sam is no longer alone; he is accompanied by the Drawbridge team, including the bizarre Dollman – a talking puppet animated at a different framerate than the rest of the game. Typical Kojima.

Worth highlighting are the beautiful tarpunk world, creative sci-fi concepts, and a unique online system where other players’ structures also help you. Bridges, generators, markers – the community cooperates to rebuild civilization.

Criticism is directed at the simplified difficulty. Vehicles can now handle virtually any terrain, making foot journeys less necessary. Combat is more straightforward – most camps can be cleared quietly from a distance. Perhaps fewer challenges for veterans of the first game, but a more accessible entry into the series for newcomers.

The story is typically Kojima-esque – expect long cutscenes, philosophical reflections on connecting humanity, and a finale so bizarre you wouldn’t believe it even if someone told you. The game lasts dozens of hours, with side missions adding more.
