One UI 8 update heading to more Samsung devices, in beta for now

Although Samsung has long been among the manufacturers with the longest support for its Android devices, last year, in particular, it faced criticism for slower distribution of the latest system. This year, while it probably doesn’t intend to compete with the fastest, it seems that improvements will occur in this regard as well. The One UI 8 update is currently heading to several smartphones in its portfolio. For now, it’s a beta version.

One UI 8 beta for “A” series and S23

While Samsung recently confirmed the early release of the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series, its developers have apparently been working intensively on preparing updates for other models as well. This time, older flagship models are joining the Beta program, along with the current and previous generation of some Galaxy A smartphones. Specifically, we are talking about the Galaxy A35, A36, A54, and A55 models. These were then accompanied into the Beta program by the complete flagship series Samsung Galaxy S23. To get this beta update, you must request it through the Samsung Members app.

However, there’s a catch. At least for now, the availability of updates for Samsung Galaxy A35, A36, and A55 has regional restrictions. The One UI 8 beta versions are thus available for these phones in the USA, UK, India, and South Korea.

If you’re wondering where the beta for the newer Galaxy S24 is, it should arrive a little later, specifically on September 13th. However, this is currently unofficial information. Last but not least, it’s worth reminding that a larger update in terms of new features in Samsung’s interface should apparently be One UI 8.5.
