It’s actually the best gaming monitor for this price

Many people buy forty-eight-inch OLEDs for their desk instead of a monitor – and this model has everything for it. It supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, runs at 120 Hz, and has all four ports in HDMI 2.1 version, so you can connect a gaming PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox simultaneously, and all devices will run at full capacity. You wouldn’t find a 48″ OLED monitor for fifteen thousand by any chance.

But the main argument is the panel itself. OLED means that each pixel lights up independently – black is truly black, not dark gray, and no halos form around subtitles or lights in a night scene. The TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, has 10-bit color depth, and the webOS system with a complete Czech offering including Oneplay, Prima+, SledováníTV, Telly, and Skylink. It is compatible with Google Assistant, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit, and also features Chromecast and AirPlay 2.

What the B series means

The letter B designates LG’s entry-level OLED series – above it are the C, G, and flagship models. The main difference is in brightness and processor: more expensive series are significantly brighter, thus delivering more pronounced HDR in a bright room. However, for evening viewing in a darkened room, where OLED shines brightest, the difference is much smaller than the price tag would suggest. Furthermore, the screen surface is glossy, so expect reflections if you have a window behind you.

Sound is handled by 20W speakers with Dolby Atmos – sufficient for a small room, but you’ll likely get a soundbar for movies anyway. And one more note: Wi-Fi is only version 5, which is enough for 4K streaming, but a bit sparse for a current year model. However, for a gaming room, bedroom, or as a giant desk monitor, at just under sixteen thousand, it’s one of the most interesting offers on the market right now.
