The POCO F7 Pro phone, introduced this spring, originally launched with a price of 14,499 CZK. However, after less than a year on the market, it is experiencing a significant price drop, and you can currently get it for less than 10 thousand crowns. For this amount, you get top-notch performance and a battery that can last up to two days of operation.

Powerful processor for demanding users

Under the hood of the POCO F7 Pro ticks the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which was among the absolute top performers of the year before last and the beginning of last year. The octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 3.3 GHz is complemented by the Adreno 750 graphics accelerator. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the phone achieves a score of over 2 million points according to the manufacturer (we measured approximately 1.83 million during testing, which is still an excellent value), ensuring smooth operation of the most demanding games and video editing applications.

The processor is joined by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. This combination guarantees instant application launch and smooth multitasking. The phone can handle simultaneously running navigation, music streaming, and several open applications in the background without a single hitch.

Huge battery with fast charging

The POCO F7 Pro features a battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh. The manufacturer states up to 16 hours of continuous video playback or 11 hours of navigation use. With normal use, the phone reliably lasts two days without a charger.

Unfortunately, a charger is not included in the package, but the phone supports 90W fast charging. With a compatible adapter, the battery charges from zero to one hundred percent in 37 minutes. After 1600 charging cycles, the battery retains at least 80 percent of its original capacity.

High-quality AMOLED display with high resolution

The front of the phone is covered by a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 3200 nits, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies. The bottom bezel is only 1.9 mm thick, creating an almost bezel-less design.

The panel uses circular polarization technology, which makes the light from the screen closer to natural light. It also features TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emission and 3840Hz PWM dimming for eye protection.

Cameras with optical stabilization

The main 50Mpx camera uses a Light Fusion 800 sensor with a size of 1/1.55″ and an aperture of f/1.6. Thanks to optical image stabilization, you can take sharp photos even in low light conditions or handheld. It is complemented by an 8Mpx ultrawide lens for capturing wider shots.

The front 20Mpx camera handles quality selfies and video calls. The phone can record videos in resolutions up to 8K at 24 fps or 4K at 60 fps. For creative shooting, it offers extremely slow-motion video at 1920 frames per second.

Premium features including IP68 resistance

The POCO F7 Pro has received IP68 certification, meaning it can withstand submersion in water up to a depth of 2.5 meters for 30 minutes. The metal frame is complemented by a glass back, which gives the phone a premium look. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is located under the display, unlocking the phone 40 percent faster than the previous generation.

It also features support for 5G networks, NFC for contactless payments, and dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification. The phone runs on Android with the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 overlay.

Who is this phone for?

The POCO F7 Pro will appeal primarily to mobile gamers, who will appreciate the powerful processor and 120Hz high-resolution display. The large battery will attract travelers and people in the field who need reliable endurance. Thanks to IP68 resistance, it is also suitable for athletes or work in more demanding conditions.

During spring testing, the phone impressed me with its quality craftsmanship and the premium feel it exudes. The metal frame with a glass back feels valuable, and the phone fits well in the hand despite its larger dimensions. The performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor still belongs to the top tier and can handle practically anything you throw at it.

At its current price under 10 thousand crowns, the POCO F7 Pro represents one of the best choices in terms of price/performance ratio. You get a flagship processor, a large battery with fast charging, a high-quality display, and decent cameras. In this price category, you will find few phones with similar features.
