No sooner had Xiaomi launched the Poco X8 with an 8,340 mAh battery than a stronger sibling arrives. For the Poco X8 Power, it packed a 10,000 mAh battery into its yellow body and added 100W charging — a combination you don’t find every day in this price category.

A phone that charges your second phone

The capacity isn’t just for its own use. The Poco X8 Power can charge other devices with up to 27 W of power, effectively replacing a smaller power bank. Xiaomi boasts 29 hours of video watching, 45 hours of Instagram browsing, or 29 days in standby mode — however, these are manufacturer’s figures measured under ideal conditions, so take them as a maximum, not an average.

Thinner than you’d expect

The most surprising detail concerns its dimensions. Despite the giant battery, the phone is only 8.65 mm thick and weighs 229 grams. Durability is ensured by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP69K certification, meaning protection even against high-pressure hot water jets.

The rest of the features match the price tag

The display has a diagonal of 6.83 inches, it’s an AMOLED with 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits in HDR. The processor is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, a solid mid-range chip without ambitions for performance records. The camera consists of a 50Mpx main sensor, an 8Mpx wide-angle camera, and a 32Mpx selfie camera. Software support is a plus — Xiaomi promises four major Android updates and six years of security patches.

Sales begin in India, where the 8/128 GB version costs 32,999 rupees, which is about 7,300 Czech crowns. Xiaomi has not specified when or if it will arrive in Europe.

Would you take a phone that can also replace a power bank, if you pay for it with 229 grams?
