The GIGABYTE GS27QA with AlzaPlus+ reached 2,999 Kč and at this price, it shouldn’t shy away from the best price/performance rankings either.

Why QHD instead of FullHD

On a 27″ panel, FullHD already looks pixelated – pixels are visible, text is blurry at a normal working distance. Quad HD (2560 × 1440) on the same diagonal offers 77% more pixels, so the image is sharp, text is clear, and the gaming world is more detailed. For gaming, QHD is an ideal compromise – compared to 4K, the graphical demand is half as much, so an RTX 4060 will drive 180 fps even in modern titles.

An IPS panel with 100% sRGB coverage and 8-bit color depth makes the monitor usable not only for games but also for photo editing or video viewing. The anti-reflective surface reduces glare from windows, and Flicker-free technology saves eyes during long sessions at the monitor.

Where the sub-three-thousand price tag shows

Main criticism from reviews: the stand is not ideal. It’s not height-adjustable, only allows tilt, and according to users, it feels unstable – the monitor sways slightly when tapping the table. If you want the monitor in an ergonomic position, expect to invest 500–1,000 Kč in a VESA mount 100 × 100. Second practical detail: the HDMI interface is limited to 144 Hz and without FreeSync – for a full 180 Hz and image synchronization, you must connect via DisplayPort. Third point: HDR support is just for show. A maximum brightness of 300 cd/m² is not enough for HDR, and according to users, the image in HDR mode actually loses quality compared to SDR. Ignore that feature. Speakers are missing – only a 3.5mm jack for headphones. Occasionally, dead pixels also appear in reviews, which is unfortunately a reality for IPS panels in this price range – check the monitor immediately after unpacking on a white background and claim a warranty if necessary.
