The Realme 14 Pro+ 5G has just reached an attractive promotional price 11,192 CZK on Alza, representing a discount of almost 3 thousand crowns compared to the regular price of 13,990 CZK. This mid-range phone primarily attracts with its periscope telephoto lens and huge battery, making it an interesting choice for a specific group of users.

Periscope Telephoto Lens as the Main Attraction

Undoubtedly, the biggest draw of the phone is the 50Mpx Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. In our review, we found that this technology is not common at all in this price category – competitors like Poco X7 Pro or Xiaomi 14T do not offer it.

The telephoto lens provides very good photo quality – images are sharp, color-consistent with the main camera, and have good dynamic range. It is especially suitable for portrait photography, where it creates a pleasant background blur. The zoom is realistically usable up to 10x magnification, which significantly expands photographic possibilities.

Add to that the 50Mpx Sony IMX896 main sensor with optical stabilization, which takes quality photos with good dynamic range. The weakest link in the setup is the 8Mpx ultrawide lens, which is rather average.

Excellent Endurance Thanks to 6000mAh Battery

Another significant plus is the 6000 mAh battery, which is among the largest in the segment. In our testing, the phone typically achieved 8 hours of screen-on time, which is a very good result. With normal use, it lasted two days without problems, and with more demanding use, it lasted a full day with approximately 30% remaining capacity.

80W SuperVOOC fast charging can replenish the battery from 0 to 50% in approximately 25 minutes, with a full charge taking around an hour. This is not the fastest solution on the market, but it is still a solid speed.

Quality Display with Reservations, Sufficient Performance

The phone features a 6.83″ OLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1272 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. In the review, we were pleased with the extremely thin bezels of just 1.6 mm and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%. The display offers a maximum brightness of around 1100 nits, which is sufficient even for use in direct sunlight.

However, the absence of HDR support for video is a disappointment, which is a shortcoming for a phone in this category in 2025. The competing Redmi Note 14 Pro+, for example, offers Dolby Vision.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 works with 12 GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Performance is sufficient for everyday use and gaming – we achieved a stable 80 fps in Call of Duty. However, it must be admitted that the competing Poco X7 Pro with the Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset offers significantly higher performance and is cheaper.

Who is the Realme 14 Pro+ ideal for?

The phone runs on Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 overlay, integrating AI features that work well even in Czech. A downside is weaker software support – only 2 years of OS updates compared to 5 years for Xiaomi 14T. You will also find a number of pre-installed third-party applications in the system.

At the promotional price of 11,192 CZK, the Realme 14 Pro+ represents an interesting choice primarily for enthusiastic photographers who will appreciate a periscope telephoto lens at an affordable price. It is also suitable for users requiring long battery life and a quality OLED display.

Conversely, if you prefer maximum performance for the least amount of money, the Poco X7 Pro will be a better choice. For long-term software support, opt for the Xiaomi 14T or Google Pixel 8, which occasionally reaches a similar price.

Summary: Balanced Mid-Range with Interesting Bonuses

At its current price, the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G offers a balanced set of features with several premium elements that are not common in its class. The periscope telephoto lens, a huge battery with fast charging, and a quality OLED display make it a versatile phone for undemanding users who occasionally like to take a quality shot from a distance.

Furthermore, IP69 certification and military standard MIL-STD-810H ensure above-average durability. If you don’t mind average video quality and shorter software support, you’ll get a very capable smartphone for 11 thousand CZK.
