Redmi Buds 8 are finally coming to the Czech Republic! You can buy the affordable ANC headphones for 1,290 crowns

Xiaomi has a whole collection of affordable wireless headphones under the Redmi brand – and now it’s completing it. After the Pro, Lite, and Active models, the basic Redmi Buds 8 are also arriving on the Czech market, combining decent active noise cancellation with a price slightly above one thousand.

What Redmi Buds 8 Offer

The main draw is active noise cancellation. For the basic model, Xiaomi promises ambient noise reduction with a peak of up to 50 dB in the 4 kHz band. However, this is a maximum value – the manufacturer states the average cancellation depth at 24.9 dB, so they will be far from the silence of more expensive, high-end headphones. Each earbud features an 11mm dynamic driver for sound.

Bluetooth 5.4 handles the connection, and the headphones support SBC, AAC, and the more lossless LHDC codecs. A trio of microphones assists with calls, and a five-band equalizer and Smart Connect function for quick switching between a phone and other devices are available. A lost earbud can also be located directly in the app. IP54 resistance handles sweat and rain, and each earbud weighs only about five grams.

Battery Life and Charging

The Redmi Buds 8 also perform well in terms of battery life. On a single charge, the earbuds are expected to last up to 11 hours of playback, or about 6.5 hours with ANC enabled. With the 475 mAh charging case, the total battery life extends up to 44 hours, or 28 hours with active noise cancellation. They charge via USB-C.

Price and Availability

The headphones are just entering the Czech market, and currently, the e-shop Smarty has them on offer, selling them for 1,290 CZK. They are available in black, white, and green. They will likely head to other retailers soon.
