As we informed you some time ago, Xiaomi is preparing to skip the Redmi Note 16 series and go straight to the seventeen – similar to what it did with its flagships. Now, thanks to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, we are learning the first details about what the top model Redmi Note 17 Pro Max should offer. And if the speculations are confirmed, it will be a true giant.

Giant display and battery, but there might be a catch

Digital Chat Station hinted on Weibo that Xiaomi is testing a phone with a 7-inch flat display and a battery with a capacity of around 10,000 mAh. Although he didn’t directly mention the model name, commentators agree that it will be the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. If these parameters are confirmed, it would be one of the largest smartphones on the market with a battery that would surpass even many tablets.

Previous leaks also indicated support for 100W charging, which would be able to recharge such a huge battery in a reasonable time. Also worth mentioning is the alleged 200Mpx main camera, which would give the new device competitiveness in the area of photography as well.

However, it is necessary to consider that the global and European versions may have a smaller battery capacity. Xiaomi adapts specifications for some models to regional regulations and preferences, so the final form for our market may differ from the Chinese original. Even so, it should still be a phone with above-average endurance.

When can we expect it?

The launch of the Redmi Note 17 series is expected in the third quarter of this year, with the premiere likely taking place first in China. We do not yet have further information on specific specifications, prices, and the global launch date. However, given the popularity of the Redmi Note series in Europe, it can be assumed that the new device will eventually make its way to us.

Would you appreciate a phone with a battery around 10,000 mAh?
