Xiaomi has expanded its range of affordable projectors with the new model Redmi Projector 4 Pro, targeting users looking for a quality home theater at a reasonable price. The new product is sold in China for 1,499 yuan (approximately 4,700 CZK converted) and offers an interesting combination of Full HD resolution with advanced automatic image calibration features.

Sharp Image with Full HD Resolution

The Redmi Projector 4 Pro uses a closed optical system with a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. With a projection ratio of 1.25:1, it can display an image with a diagonal of up to 120 inches, which corresponds to approximately 3 meters. A brightness of 600 CVIA lumens ensures a usable image even in partially lit rooms, although the manufacturer recommends darkening for the best experience.

An interesting feature is the SGS low blue light certification, which confirms effective filtration of wavelengths 415-455 nm. This means the projector puts less strain on the eyes during long-term viewing, which will be especially appreciated by families with children.

Automatic Focusing with ToF Laser

The ToF laser module, combined with an HD camera and artificial intelligence, is responsible for convenient image setup. The system ensures automatic focusing without the need for manual intervention and simultaneously performs keystone correction from all directions. The projector can automatically detect obstacles in the image and adapt the projection area to them, as well as recognize a projection screen and align the image to it.

For smooth display of sports broadcasts or action movies, the projector includes MEMC motion compensation, which significantly reduces blurring of fast-moving objects and eliminates image tearing.

Performance and Connectivity for the Modern Home

Performance is handled by the MediaTek MT9660 processor, complemented by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. This configuration ensures smooth operation of streaming applications and quick switching between content. The projector supports dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for stable internet access and offers integration with the Xiaomi ecosystem, including the Xiao AI voice assistant.

In terms of connectivity, there’s an HDMI port with ARC support for connecting gaming consoles or set-top boxes, USB-A 2.0 for playback from flash drives, and a 3.5mm audio output for external speakers. The built-in sound system consists of two 8W speakers complemented by passive bass radiators.

Who is the Redmi Projector 4 Pro suitable for?

The new product is particularly suitable for budding film enthusiasts who want to enhance their movie and series viewing experience beyond a regular TV. Thanks to its affordable price and automatic features, it’s an ideal choice for young families or students who don’t want to invest tens of thousands into premium projectors.

The projector will also satisfy casual gamers who appreciate a large projection surface when playing console games. MEMC compensation will ensure a smooth image even with dynamic titles. Conversely, more demanding users requiring 4K resolution or higher brightness for daytime projection should consider more expensive alternatives.

The Redmi Projector 4 Pro is currently only available in China via the JD.com platform. Xiaomi has not yet announced its potential launch on global markets, but given the success of previous Redmi series models, international expansion is likely.
