Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV brutally discounted! You won't believe its price compared to the original 139,990 CZK Home News Samsung 75" 8K Neo QLED dropped from the original 139,990 CZK to the current 45,990 CZK Mini LED backlighting offers high brightness but suffers from blooming around bright objects 8K upscaling works surprisingly well, gaming mode with 165 Hz will please gamers Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 12. 8. 2025 08:30 Advertisement When Samsung launched the 75″ QE75QN800D model for 139,990 CZK last April, few expected it to cost a third of that a year later. The current price of 45,990 CZK on Alza.cz puts this 8K TV in an interesting position – it costs similarly to quality 4K models. Let’s see what you actually get for this money and whether 8K makes sense in 2025. What exactly are 8K and Mini LED? The QN800D uses a panel with a resolution of 7680 × 4320 pixels – that’s four times more than 4K. In practice, this means a sharper image, but only if you sit close enough or have a really large screen. With a 75″ TV, you’ll start to notice the difference at a distance of around 2 meters. Mini LED technology means that behind the LCD panel there are thousands of small LED diodes divided into zones (Samsung states over 1300 zones). Each zone can independently dim or light up, which theoretically allows for better contrast than conventional LED TVs. However, in practice, this also brings problems. Bright sides: high brightness and solid upscaling According to measurements by foreign reviewers, the QN800D achieves a peak brightness of around 1100 nits in Filmmaker mode, which is sufficient for HDR content. When displaying a full white screen, they measured around 600 nits, meaning you can watch the TV even in a bright room without visibility issues. The NQ8 AI Gen2 processor includes neural networks for converting content to 8K. This 8K upscaling surprisingly works – 4K movies look slightly sharper and more detailed than on a regular 4K TV. It’s not a miracle, but the difference is noticeable, especially if you provide the TV with a high-quality source. Regular HD broadcasts also look cleaner than on most competitors. ZOBRAZIT AKCI NA ALZA.CZ Problems mentioned in reviews The biggest weakness of Mini LED technology is blooming – a halo of light around bright objects on a dark background. Samsung has partially addressed this issue compared to 2022 and 2023 models, but has not been able to eliminate it completely. TechRadar notes in its review that blooming is more pronounced when viewed off-angle, but if you have a regular LED TV, blooming is much more apparent. Furthermore, only OLED panels completely eliminate this undesirable effect. High-level Gaming For gamers, the QN800D is an interesting choice. Four HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K at 120Hz (up to 165Hz on PC) with variable refresh rate (VRR) including AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Input lag of around 10ms is excellent. Samsung Gaming Hub allows streaming games via the cloud (Xbox Game Pass, GeForce Now), which will be appreciated by those who don’t have a gaming console. Special 21:9 and 32:9 gaming modes simulate an ultrawide monitor, but the image is then smaller with black bars at the top and bottom. Sound – functional, but not overwhelming The 4.2.2 system with 70W output supports Dolby Atmos. Object Tracking Sound Plus tracks on-screen movement and adjusts the sound accordingly, which works surprisingly well. Dialogues are clear and understandable according to reviews. However, over time, I would still get a soundbar if I were you. Samsung anticipates this, as it offers Q-Symphony technology to synchronize TV speakers with a soundbar. KOUPIT ZA 45 990 KČ One Connect Box – elegant cabling solution All connectors are in an external box connected to the TV by a single, almost transparent cable. It’s an elegant solution for wall mounting. Tizen OS and missing Dolby Vision The Tizen operating system is fast and includes all important applications. Samsung traditionally does not support Dolby Vision, only HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG. For most content, this is not a problem, but owners of 4K Blu-rays with Dolby Vision or subscribers to services like Disney+ will miss out on the best possible HDR quality. Conclusion: A good TV for a reasonable price The Samsung QE75QN800D for 45,990 CZK represents an interesting offer. It’s not a perfect TV – it has blooming issues and lacks Dolby Vision. On the other hand, you get a large 75″ screen with high brightness, functional 8K upscaling, and great gaming features. ⏰ Availability: In stock at Alza.cz Do you have experience with 8K TVs?
