Samsung AI fridge in a brutal deal! It saves electricity and you can control it with your phone

Currently, Alza has an interesting deal on the American fridge Samsung RS70F65QEFEO, which the manufacturer launched on the Czech market this year with a price of 23,990 CZK. Today you can buy it with the discount code ALZADNY15 for 18,352 CZK, which, according to comparison sites, is the lowest price on the Czech internet. It is a model with a large volume of 635 liters and advanced smart features that allow you to control the fridge via your phone.

This Samsung fridge measures 178.4 × 91.2 × 72.6 cm and weighs 115 kilograms, so before buying, check if it fits into your kitchen and elevator. However, if you have the space and a large family, you will get a lot of storage space for a relatively reasonable price.

SmartThings app as a fridge controller

The main added value of this model is its integration into the SmartThings ecosystem. Through the mobile application (available for Android and iOS), you can set the temperature, monitor energy consumption, and receive notifications, for example, about an open door or the need to replace the water filter. All you need is stable Wi-Fi and a Samsung account.

An interesting feature is AI Energy, which, according to Samsung, can reduce consumption by up to 10% by intelligently adapting the compressor speed and defrosting cycle to your habits and ambient conditions. In the app, you can set a monthly savings target, and the system will notify you when you are approaching it. The annual consumption of the fridge is declared at 364 kWh, which corresponds to energy class E – it’s not the most economical, but for such a large volume, it’s not surprising.

Through SmartThings, you can also track what you have stored in the fridge, and the app will even recommend recipes based on available food. In practice, however, this requires you to manually record the contents of the fridge in the app, as there is no internal camera.

More space thanks to thinner walls

Samsung used SpaceMax technology in this fridge, which allows for thinner walls while maintaining insulation properties. The result is a volume of 635 liters (420 liters in the refrigerator compartment, 220 liters in the freezer) without increasing the external dimensions.

Inside, you will find 4 shelves in the refrigerator compartment and 4 compartments in the freezer, plus a large Big Vegi Box drawer for fruits and vegetables. All-Around Cooling technology is designed to ensure even distribution of cold air to all corners of the fridge, so food should stay fresh longer regardless of where you place it.

Also included are Power Cool and Power Freeze functions for rapid cooling or freezing – practical, for example, when you return from shopping in the summer.

Quiet compressor with a 20-year warranty

The fridge uses an inverter AI compressor, which, according to Samsung, offers 15% better energy efficiency than the previous generation and 4.1× higher inertia. In practice, this means quieter operation and lower consumption. The noise level is declared at 36 dB (class C), which is fine for normal kitchen operation.

Furthermore, the compressor comes with a 20-year warranty, which is a solid bonus – compressors are the most expensive part of a fridge, and replacing them after a few years can cost almost as much as a new appliance. The standard warranty for the rest of the fridge is, of course, shorter.

Who is it worth it for?

For 18,352 CZK, you get a large smart fridge with solid features and a long warranty on a key component. If you are looking for an American fridge and don’t mind the dimensions, this is currently the cheapest offer on the market. This is the black color variant; if you prefer a different finish, you will have to pay extra.

Smart features via SmartThings are a nice bonus but not revolutionary – remote temperature control and consumption monitoring will be appreciated, but few people will likely use manual food entry into the app.
