Samsung couldn't keep this under wraps. Galaxy Z Flip7 shows its strengths in a leaked video

We are just a few days away from the official unveiling of Samsung’s new generation of foldable phones, and leaks are significantly intensifying. A live video of the upcoming clamshell Galaxy Z Flip7 appeared on the social network X, showing us the device from all possible angles. Although the original post has already been removed, foreign news outlets managed to capture images that reveal the new device in all its glory.

Significant design changes in the new generation

It is evident that the Galaxy Z Flip7 continues the tradition of sharp edges, similar to its predecessor. However, the main novelty is the significantly redesigned external display, which now covers the entire front part of the phone when closed. While the Galaxy Z Flip 6 offered a folder-shaped external display, the Z Flip 7 goes the route of a full-area display that elegantly surrounds the camera area for the most comfortable work with applications and services. In this area, Samsung has so far lagged behind competitors like the Motorola Razr.

Samsung is also said to have worked on the hinge, whose area appears to be noticeably smaller than on the previous model. This could contribute to a generally thinner device profile. Other design elements, such as button placement and the dual camera arrangement, remain consistent with earlier models in the series.

Unveiling on July 9th along with other new products

Samsung will officially unveil its new foldable phones on July 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM our time at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York. Alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7, we will also see the unveiling of the larger foldable model Galaxy Z Fold7 and the new smartwatches Galaxy Watch8.
