Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is officially here. In the Czech Republic, it starts at 8,499 CZK and promises six years of updates

Samsung’s affordable mid-range has a new representative. The Galaxy A27 5G relies on a large and smooth display, long software support, and a package of smart features that until recently belonged to more expensive models – all while staying under nine thousand crowns. The higher prices that leaked even before the presentation have now been confirmed.

Finally a punch-hole instead of a notch

Here’s the most visible change from last year. The phone received a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, making scrolling and video playback feel smooth. Anyone who held last year’s A26 will notice the difference immediately: the selfie camera has moved from the teardrop notch (Samsung calls it Infinity-U) to an inconspicuous punch-hole in the middle of the top edge of the display, which the manufacturer calls Infinity-O. This reduced the distracting area around the lens, leaving more screen space for the image itself. Additionally, the body is pleasantly thin with a thickness of just 7.8 mm.

What performance and cameras does the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G offer?

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip manufactured with a 4nm process, complemented by 6 or 8 GB of RAM. It’s not for the most demanding games, but it handles everyday app switching, social media, and streaming without stuttering. On the back, there’s a trio of cameras led by a main 50Mpx sensor with optical stabilization, joined by a 5Mpx ultrawide lens and a 2Mpx macro lens. Up front, there’s a new 12Mpx selfie camera, which, according to the manufacturer, offers better dynamic range and more accurate colors. A leak before launch hinted at the removal of the ultrawide camera and the memory card slot – neither was ultimately confirmed, and the phone accepts microSD cards up to 2 TB.

Artificial Intelligence and Six Years of Updates

The Galaxy A27 5G supports a suite of AI features that Samsung collectively calls Awesome Intelligence. This includes Circle to Search: you circle anything on the display with your finger, and the phone immediately searches for it via Google, without you having to leave the app. Object Eraser removes distracting elements from photos and reconstructs the background, while the Recorder app transcribes voice recordings into text and translates them directly. Additionally, you can use Google Gemini, Perplexity, or Samsung’s Bixby assistants on the phone.

A rather unexpected bonus for an affordable phone: the brand promises six generations of new Android and One UI updates, and six years of security patches from market launch. Out of the box, it runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5, sensitive data is protected by Knox Vault hardware security, and the body has IP64 certification against dust and splashing water.

Price and Availability of Samsung Galaxy A27 5G in the Czech Republic

The new model is sold in two variants in our country. The 6/128 GB version costs 8,499 CZK, while the better-equipped 8/256 GB version will cost 10,799 CZK; on Alza, you can get it in pink for 8,490 and 10,790 CZK respectively. Black, blue, and pink colors are available, and it goes on sale on July 3rd. However, you’ll pay more compared to last year’s A26 – the price increase is due less to the features and more to more expensive memory chips.

Additionally, Samsung is offering an introductory discount of 500 CZK when purchased by the end of July, and anyone who buys the phone by the end of September and writes a review in the Samsung Members app will receive a Galaxy Fit3 fitness tracker with it.

Who is it worth it for? The Galaxy A27 5G is a hit mainly for those who want a large and beautiful display, long-term support, and understandable AI features for little money – for example, students, seniors, or as a reliable family phone. On the other hand, anyone who takes a lot of photos or wants to play the most demanding games will prefer a more expensive model.
