Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 are here! We know the improvements and prices for the Czech Republic

Samsung is finally bringing the anticipated successors to its best-selling mid-range series to the Czech Republic. The Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G models target users who want a modern phone with long-term support without having to spend on a flagship. The basic A37 5G starts at 10,499 CZK, while the more equipped A57 5G starts at 12,999 CZK. Both phones will arrive in stores on April 10 and bring several interesting improvements over last year’s models.

Galaxy A57 5G: slimmer body, higher performance

The flagship of this year’s A series is the Galaxy A57 5G model. Compared to its predecessor, the A56 5G, it offers an improved Exynos 1680 processor with a more powerful CPU, GPU, and NPU, which will be noticeable in more demanding tasks such as video editing or gaming. Samsung also reduced the body thickness to just 6.9 mm with a weight of 179 grams, making the phone feel significantly more elegant in hand.

The display is designated Super AMOLED+ with a 6.7-inch diagonal and Full HD+ resolution. The refresh rate reaches 120 Hz, and Vision Booster technology is included for better readability in direct sunlight. Samsung has narrowed the bezels around the screen, so the screen-to-body ratio is more favorable than its predecessor.

The camera consists of a trio of lenses: a 50Mpx main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12Mpx ultrawide, and a 5Mpx macro. Compared to the A56 5G, Samsung has improved image processing – the phone focuses better on details, reduces noise, and shortens shutter speed for sharper motion capture. The Nightography feature for night photography has also been improved. On the front, we find a 12Mpx selfie camera.

A 5,000mAh battery takes care of endurance, which, according to Samsung, lasts up to two days of normal use. Super Fast Charging 2.0 support with 45W power charges the phone to 60% in 30 minutes. Thermal management is ensured by a 13% larger vapor chamber than its predecessor, which helps maintain performance during longer gaming sessions.

Galaxy A37 5G: more affordable alternative

The Galaxy A37 5G model targets users with a more limited budget. While the display is also a 6.7″ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, it is only designated Super AMOLED (without the plus). In practice, this means slightly lower maximum brightness and less vibrant colors, but the average user will likely not notice the difference.

The biggest difference compared to its more expensive sibling is in performance, with the Galaxy A37 featuring a weaker Exynos 1480 processor. This was the processor used in the Galaxy A55 model introduced in spring 2024. It’s important to highlight the main camera upgrade, which again has a 50 Mpx resolution but boasts a larger optical format than the Galaxy A36, so you can expect better results when shooting in low light conditions. The accompanying sensors are an 8Mpx ultrawide camera and a 5Mpx macro sensor.

The A37 5G’s body is slightly more robust – measuring 7.4 mm in thickness and weighing 196 grams. Under the hood, it also has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging.

What both models have in common

The main attraction of both new products is six years of software support. Samsung promises six generations of Android and One UI updates, as well as security patches for the same duration. This is an excellent offer in this price category, as competitors typically offer around four years.

Both phones run on Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and offer a set of AI features under the name Awesome Intelligence. These include Object Eraser from photos, Best Face for group shots (A57 only), Circle to Search with multi-object recognition, and an improved Bixby assistant with natural language support. Integration with Google Gemini is also available.

The durability of both models corresponds to IP68 certification – the phones can withstand immersion in 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes. Security is provided by the Knox Vault platform with hardware encryption of sensitive data.

Which model to choose?

The Galaxy A57 5G is the choice for users who want the most from the A series. The improved processor will be appreciated by more demanding users, while the better ultrawide camera and Best Face feature will appeal to those who take many photos. The slimmer body and higher-quality Super AMOLED+ display complete the overall impression of a slightly better mid-range device.

The Galaxy A37 5G, on the other hand, will appeal to those primarily looking for long-term support and basic features at a reasonable price. It has lower performance than the more expensive model and a weaker ultrawide camera, but the improved main camera is a plus. Moreover, it includes IP68 certification and a solid AMOLED panel.

Price and availability in the Czech Republic

Both smartphones will go on sale in the Czech Republic on April 10, 2026. Samsung offers several memory configurations:

Galaxy A57 5G:

• 8 + 128 GB: 12,999 CZK (gray, dark blue, light blue, purple)
• 8 + 256 GB: 14,499 CZK (gray, dark blue, light blue, purple)
• 12 + 512 GB: 18,899 CZK (dark blue only)

Galaxy A37 5G:

• 6 + 128 GB: 10,499 CZK (gray, green, white, purple)
• 8 + 256 GB: 12,699 CZK (gray, green, white, purple)

Until April 24, 2026, Samsung offers a 5% discount on the recommended price. Furthermore, anyone who registers a review of at least 250 characters in the Samsung Members app by April 30 can receive a Galaxy Fit3 fitness tracker as a bonus.
