Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 will offer better endurance. However, they took a step back in this regard Home News Energy labels for Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G phones have appeared in the EU EPREL database. Both models received an A energy label and improved IP68 resistance compared to their predecessors with IP67. Samsung is expected to unveil the new models next month, earlier than usual. Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 28. 2. 2026 07:30 Advertisement Even before Samsung officially unveils the successors to its popular mid-range smartphones, the European energy label database has revealed them. Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G have passed EPREL certification, which reveals interesting details about battery life and durability. And it looks like Samsung has worked on efficiency – both models significantly outperform their predecessors. Endurance goes up, number of charging cycles goes down According to the energy label, the Galaxy A57 5G will offer a theoretical endurance of 52 hours, which is an improvement over the 44 hours and 34 minutes of last year’s Galaxy A56. The cheaper model saw an even bigger leap – the Galaxy A37 5G boasts 53 hours compared to 41 hours and 28 minutes for the A36. Of course, these are laboratory values with minimal activity, so you won’t achieve such numbers in practice. Nevertheless, they indicate that real-world endurance should be noticeably better. Both phones received an energy label A. For the Galaxy A57, this is an improvement from the original B, and for the Galaxy A37, even from C. Less pleasing is the information about battery lifespan – it now guarantees 1,200 charging cycles before capacity drops below 80%, whereas predecessors managed 2,000 cycles. We observed the same trend with the flagship Galaxy S26 series. Improved water resistance A welcome new feature is IP68 certification for both models, which means resistance to submersion in 1.5 meters of water. Last year’s A56 and A36 models only had IP67. Samsung is thus bringing the mid-range closer to flagship specifications. Regarding drop resistance, the Galaxy A57 received an A rating, while the Galaxy A37 only a B – likely due to the use of less durable cover glass. The repairability of both phones was rated C. What we know about the Galaxy A57’s features Thanks to previous leaks from TENAA certification and benchmarks, we have a fairly clear idea of the specifications. The Galaxy A57 will feature a 6.6″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone’s heart will be the Exynos 1680 processor, which achieved approximately 15% higher scores in Geekbench than the current Exynos 1480. The camera setup includes a 50Mpx main Sony IMX906 sensor, a 12Mpx ultrawide lens, and a 5Mpx macro camera. The battery remains at 5,000 mAh with 45W charging support. The phone will run on Android 16 with One UI 8 and should receive six years of software support. Galaxy A37 surprises with its camera The cheaper Galaxy A37 will come with an interesting upgrade – it will get the same 50Mpx Sony IMX906 sensor as its more expensive sibling. Compared to last year’s Galaxy A36 with a smaller sensor (1/1.95″), this will be a significant improvement, as the IMX906 has an optical format of 1/1.56″ and captures more light. The ultrawide will have 8 Mpx and the macro 5 Mpx. Under the hood, we’ll find the Exynos 1480, the same chip as in the current Galaxy A56. The battery should again be 5,000 mAh with 45W charging. Unveiling next month The appearance of energy labels in the EPREL database suggests that the unveiling is imminent. According to earlier speculation, Samsung plans to reveal both phones as early as March, a month earlier than last year. This is likely to allow the attention surrounding the recently introduced Galaxy S26 series to subside. What do you think about the improved endurance of the new Galaxy A series models?
