Samsung Galaxy A58 is already in preparation. It appeared in the GSMA database even before its premiere.

According to available information, Samsung is already actively working on the successor to the Galaxy A57, which is only a few months old. The smartphone, designated as Galaxy A58, has appeared in an official certification database – for now, however, only with its name and model number, unfortunately without a single specific parameter.

The first mention has appeared, but we know practically nothing yet

The GSMA association database serves manufacturers to register upcoming phones before their market launch. According to Ovrplus, the trade name “Galaxy A58 5G” and model number SM-A5860, which corresponds to the Chinese variant, have appeared for the new device. The entire series will be designated SM-A586x, where the last character distinguishes individual markets. The record does not reveal any specifications, photos, or prices.

In the same registry, a new rugged model, the Galaxy XCover FR (SM-G778B), also briefly appeared for the European and global markets, a successor to last year’s XCover 7 Pro. However, the database reveals nothing more than its mere existence for this model either.

What the current Galaxy A57 offers

Before the successor is officially revealed, the current Galaxy A57 holds the bar. According to the manufacturer, Samsung’s mid-range device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, an octa-core Exynos 1680 chip, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging. The trio of rear cameras is led by a 50MPx sensor with optical stabilization, complemented by a 12MPx ultrawide and a 5MPx macro lens.

The body is IP68 resistant and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, the system runs on Android with the One UI overlay, and Samsung promises six major updates for the phone. On Alza, the basic variant of the Galaxy A57 sells for 12 890 Kč.

From the Galaxy A58, we can expect mainly a newer processor and deeper integration of AI features. However, Samsung logically keeps specific improvements secret, and we won’t be able to talk about them with certainty until a few months from now, when the first specification leaks and benchmarks appear.
